  so i clicked one of the banners at the top of the page to the beyond jw's website on aol, .

  it said : for philosophical reasons, i have discontinued this web site.

  i recommend no religion.

  I too remember stumbling across that site and found it very calming ........ when he recommended buddhism, I remember thinking buddhism?????? that's not even christian. I vaguely associated buddhism with mindlessness and peace at that time ... so that too was good for me.

  I haven't been hurt emotionally by someone I loved. I have allowed myself to be taken advantage of in the worst possible way by someone I thought was a friend and then had to suffer them gloating over it.

  i think i get it and then about halfway through i start to glaze over.

  this is a question i've had for a long time.. according to the biblical account, adam and eve's sin was to eat fruit from the forbidden tree.. now, ordinarily, when we get caught doing something "wrong," we try to hide the "offending" member (the child tries to hide his hand that has the 'stolen' cookie; we hurriedly try to pull our pants back on when mom walks in unexpectedly while we're masturbating, etc.)..

  so, if the "sin" of adam and eve was eating a forbidden fruit, then why wasn't their first impulse to hide their hands?

  or to wipe off their mouths?

  or, is it completely out of the question, and you know for sure that this life is it, and there is nothing else after.. maybe you believe that there is a possibility of eternal life, but you don't qualify..
