So would someone 'serving' Elder, MS or Pioneer be removed or not allowed to serve if they refuse to sign?

is it optional?.

Anyone have a definitive answer as to whether one 'must' sign or suffer repercussions.

The "Publisher Record Cards" where they record your field service.
However the "signature!" allows them to write what they want about you and not show it to you as its "confidential".

I know this doesn't apply to all countries.
However, is it a 'requirement'?
Is it a 'request'?
Is it enforced?
Is it optional?
What happens if you refuse?

Remember when assemblies were fun?
by Aphrodite ini just remembered when i was a kid and we would go to the assembly, it was fun because we got to buy new clothes and put extra effort into looking good.
when we would get there you could save your seats and even save some for your friends, then go off looking for them.. i used to love our circuit assembly because of the food.
it was at the assembly hall and there was a big kitchen, some of my favourite brothers worked in that kitchen, sometimes i was allowed to go in and help.

Camera users beware
by IMHO inmost people use a camera these days (if only on a mobile phone) but be wary of using an slr camera at a convention.. i heard of somone who was stopped by 'security' and questioned as to why they were using an slr and implied that you may be taken for a peadophile if you do..

BluesBrother - It was a good friend of mine. I have no reason to doubt their word. It was quite a few years back at Twickenham, UK.
The 'security' guy put his had in front of the camera as my friend was taking a 'crowd' photo and said 'you can't use that here, we've had problems with pictures being taken of children'.

Assembly/Convention Rules
by IMHO injust been reading the resurrected topic "remember when assemblies were fun".. bought back some good memories particularly regarding the 'holiday camps'.. i was going to add this but decided it warranted it's own topic.. the 'good times' have been replaced by incessant rules.
here is a selection from the last circuit assembly i attended.
please feel free to add to the list.. .

Parents beware
by IMHO indon't walk around a convention with your child if you are not wearing a convention badge.. you will be questioned as if you are a peadophile.
they will even check with your child (whatever their age) whether you are their parent.. it happened t me.. .
to make it worse an announcement encouraging children to 'seek help' from someone wearing a flourescent jacket.

Did no one tell them that they can be bought from almost anywhere these days for next to nothing and hence worn by anyone. (Make sure you get an orange one, they give you even more power).
