Why, exactly, are you here?

why, exactly, are you here on jwd?.

are you out of the jw's and still needing association with like people?.

do you lack the skills to have real friends in real life?.

I have the happiest reply of all!

I joined cuz I was suicidal.

I wanted verification on what I knew had to be a lie.

And I got that verification, so I'm happy now.

And I'm also the kind of person that likes having constant verification on what I believe.

does anyone here play the board game 'diplomacy' or play it online.

it's like 'risk' only a thousand times better.

there are no dice involved and is more like chess.. thomas covenant.

I always go for the manly color: pink.

Needless to say, by the end of the game, the world is colored pink :P .

Are Ex-JWs smarter than the average bear?

i've noticed that most of us may not have a college education but most of you are extremely intelligent people.. do you think that ex-jws are smarter than the average bear?.

i am thinking of going back to school to be a psychologists specalizing in helping that were in cults.

I havn't run into any situation where a sane person's actions couldn't be explained, with enough information of course :P .

Maybe I'm being egotistical in suggesting I'm any good at it, but I think I am!

Interesting Sociology assignment

when i was in college (in my 30's because i started late due to jw childhood), my sociology prof gave us an assignment: if you were made the benevolent dictator tomorrow and you could do anything to change things, what and how would you do it.

remember, you are a dictator, a benevolent one, but a dictator nonetheless.

you are allowed to initiate any programs you choose.

Step 1: Improve international relations. Share food, medical knowledge, etc. to gain the trust of every nation on earth.

Step 2: Increase research on anti nuclear devices. "Star Wars" or whatever you wanna call it. Whatever stops nukes from landing on our heads.

Step 3: Dismantling Nuclear devices in our posession, cutting the defense budget(Hopefully won't bite me in the butt :P )

Step 4: Share anti nuclear technology with ALL nations. Encourage use of UN.
