Would you like to hear an interesting experience?
by palmtree67 inon friday, one of the patients who is a jw gave the doc the latest mags.. at lunchtime, the doc handed them to me and asked if i wanted to read them.
(if you remember, i am df'ed and the cleaning lady at work made a point of making sure the doc i work for knows it.).
i took them and said, "you're not going to read them?".

If I see the magazines, I will sometimes bring them home and start reading them in front of my wife and two boys. I tell them that I have a need to do some door knocking and that we won't have any Christmas this year and that they will have to start getting up early on Saturday mornings. They go crazy and tell me I'm nuts! ..a bundle of fun those magazines are.

The Funniest Reporting Story I've Ever Heard!
by God_Delusion inopen mind recently posted the thread "honesty-in-field-service-reports" in relation to the borg requesting that all brothers & sisters report their time honestly.. well, a dub friend of mine recently told me the following story.
i'd also like to add that the co has also added the following story in his talks as the bit of humour all co's are required to do in order to make sure that the audience is still awake.. here goes........ a sister had a dream that she had a great day out on the ministry.
it was so good, that she worked out how long she was asleep (8 hours) and added the 8 hours to her monthly report.. now, some of you may think that's funny?

He is absent during the cold winter months unless he comes out to receive some liberal award. He will be back in the summer when it is supposed to be warm again.

So what are you going to do today? Xmas topix
by AwSnap ini gave my hubby his present around 6a.... we (me & hubby) will be celebrating christmas with a family that used to go to our same kh (the dad was an elder and one of the daughters regularly pioneered for years).
they all left the jw's a little over a year ago.
we were asked to bring some extra chairs, but the only ones i could think of were some old bookstudy chairs stashed at my parents house, which are now in the back of my car.

The most apostate thing you could do..?
by iMARX init's taken me a while to start watching films with ghosts in - even a christmas carol - and then eventually i started smoking pot and it didn't bother me at all.
but there are still some things i would have trouble with doing because of the remains of my christian conscience.. anything you guys still haven't brought yourself to do yet?.

what was the reaction to princess Di's death in your cong?
by highdose ini know it was over ten years but it occured today that it was the first time i was shocked by the reaction of the the dubs.
the general opinion seemed to be that yes it was "sad" ... but actauly it was very good news that she had been killed now, because that meant that she would get a resserection!
and of course seeing that she had led such an immoral life, she would never have survived armargeddon had she lived!.

I was still barely clinging at the time and we had gone with some other "witnesses" to go see some local alternative bands at a local club in Vegas. Then we did some bar hopping and everyone crashed out at my house. When we heard the news in the morning we were all pretty much hung over..Our collective reaction..let's get the coffee brewing.
