  Maybe There's a Heaven...

  i don't often open up discussions on my beliefs or experiences in life, but i feel a need, so please excuse me if you feel it untoward.

  neither is this a poxy swan-song, i'm just opening up my heart a little.. today i had cause to reflect on a conversation i had with my [now ex-]wife shortly after my epithany.

  everything was so new and unknown.

  excellent post little toe.

  trully a heart felt joyful moment. I enjoyed the read.

  It boils down to this it really doesn't matter if you believe in heaven .

  whats important is that you believe in God and his son Jesus christ.

  aside from that , you can be sure it will all be clear when the time comes.

  Till then , no worries about going to heaven, if God leaves me here on the earth, I'm sure I'll be happy to live in a restored paradise as well as I would have been heaven. No worries , be happy is my motto.

  I know lots of jehovah's Wittness's as a matter of fact I've been married to one for seven years.

  I am also a student of denominations. I have studied them all . In all denominations if you look for it , you'll find some blow harts that claim to be speaking for God himself. In all denominations you'll find people who havn't go a clue what the bible really says. In all denominations you'll find things they tell you , not to do or you'll end up in hell.

  The Jehovah's Wittness's are no different than any other denomination , they all have quirks.

  Take the catholics, you can't be married in the church if your divorced , but if your lucky enough to know a priest who will anull your marriage you can remarry in the church. I've seen that happen after the people were married 40 years and had two grown daughters. How could that marriage be null and void?

  Don't know if most of you have decided you are no longer religious period . If so thats okay, but just a little FYI .

  If you are still religous , just decided the JW's are not the church you want to attend, and have picked another faith.

  Then I would be a little careful were I you. I assure you it will not go unnoticed by God that christian's are slandering fellow christians and that after all if what the JW's are , our brothers and sisters in christ . Everybody should be working together , not aginst each other, IMHO

  Let me assure you it wouldn't matter if you had been raised with very religous oh lets say babptist or methodist parents you'd be feeling the same way.

  You need to sort out whats bothering you in life. It could be one or many of millions of things.

  God doesn't expect you to be perfect, look at his favorites in the bible.

  they were often murder's and audulter's . So cut your self a break and your parents too they just want the best for you.

  hope life gets simpler and eaiser for you.

  Hello! My mom is aJW and I have lots of questions!

  my mom has been a jw for most of her life.

  she was df in 1989 for having an affair.

  our lives(me and my borthers and sister) became unbearable because she didn't leave my abusive father.

  wants mom back, first of all as a christian without denominational ties I bring up religion to my three grown children reguarly.

  I am sure they don't really appreciate it , but they are respectful enough to listen awhile.

  As a gal with a father that was a minister and overzealous himself , I had to make it clear to hi that certain topics were off limits for discussion.

  Like the fact I took my teenage sons to buy condoms , just to make sure they knew where and how.

  Killed my dad when they let that slip I was condoning premaritial sex. No I wasn't , but two wrongs don't make a right and a unwanted baby was not happening at my house.

  Over the years I have had to set many limits with my over zealous father. He understands what I will tolerate now and what I won't.

  For instance I would not tolerate him writing my daughter when she was in the Army in Irag that she better get baptized if she didn't want to end up in hell .

  Set some limits, stick to your guns and enjoy your mother .

  She'll be glad of the known limits and she'll be glad to spend time with you when she knows what to expect.

  believe me it would not matter iof your father was a very religious baptist you'd be going through the same thing.

  I have a motto on my fridge that I have come to live by very well.

  We don't get to choose who are parents are or how they treated us,

  but we do have a choice about whether we forgive our parents and heal ourselves.

  yep good motto to live by and that's from a gal who had a Church of Christ minister for a father.

  He was and is the most miserable hypocritical human being I know.

  Closer to fifty now than forty . I'm proud to say I left behind my resentments towards him at least 20 years ago.

  He calls and I add enough to conversations so he thinks I'm listening. Try that if it gets out of hand , next time.

  be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

  as we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let you down probably will.

  you will have your heart broken probably more than once and it's harder every time.

  hi all im new here, just stumbled accros the website while looking at some jw info and wasn't sure exactly what this forum was, then i quickly realised its actually just what i wanted to find!!

  however there isnt really any introduction information, like a clear home page and if you are actually alighned with a particular group/organisation!

  anyway, i hope to read lots more interesting stories and hopefully i will find something im after.. cheers.

  I do not know what a approved associate is,.

  I believe in Jesus Christ the savior and in God along with his Holy Spirit .

  Have I mistakenly fallen into a JW bashing hate club?

  I've been trying to find a place to contact administration to ask that question.

  Can't find a place to pm or email them

  I'm never interested in Gossip and slandering other christians , and the Jehovah's Wittness's are just that .

  They are my christiand brothers and sisters, just like the methodists or the baptists .

  Pick your denomination and you'll find christian brothers and sisters there including the Jehovahs Wittness's

  Geez it sounds like you people are forgetting something.

  jehovah's Wittness's are just human beings. They certainly are not perfect as are none of you or for that matter even me. LOL

  What are you looking for perfection? Then look to the Prince of peace our lord and savior Jesus Christ.

  Or to God the father.

  Don't expect perfection in any denomination of man it will never happen.

  Thats not true, I am happily married to a Jehovah's Wittness.

  I have never felt any pressure to convert to his denomination.

  If you love the girl it can be worked out and Kingdom halls are filled with people married to people of other denominations.

  So if its love. Don't let it go.
