  Hair dye not allowed at Beth-hell

  someone recently told this story.. a current bethelite says she is not permitted to get her hair dyed in the beth-hell hair salon.

  they only provide it to drones over the age of 35, or something along those lines.

  something about being too focused on one's appearance.. i suppose the real reason is they don't want to shell out the $2.99 for a mere underling.. rebel8.

  Oh man, what a load of absolute crap!

  If they don't want anyone focusing "too much" on their appearance, why not do away with the "salon" altogether? After all, you wouldn't want to be cause for stumbling ... right?

  I was chosen for jury duty once. I considered dodging, but later decided to go ahead with it. On the day of selection, there were so many people there that I thought ... well, fat chance of me being chosen. After all, they were only looking for nine people. Lo and behold! Would you believe my name was selected ninth?

  Wasn't such a bad experience in the long run. Wouldn't mind being chosen again, but my job renders me automatically exempt now.

  the bottom line for them it seems is to keep their superiors happy (i.e., the co).

  so as long as people report time, it makes the elders look good.

  Baptism annulment. ???

  a friend of mine is looking to get a baptism annulment.

  this person da a few years ago and certain family member suggested a baptism annulment so that they can have a "normal" relationship.

  how does this work?

  I've never heard of a baptism annullment either, but then again .... I the last time I attended a meeting was in 2000.

  I doubt it would be a standard practice. You'd be surprised at how many folks would rush at the opportunity.
