"Everyone Has Aids"

when i first exited the troof, that was the first thing i was told by every jw was that worldly girls all carry aids and i should watch out for them.

it's caused a lot of exiting youth to literally piss their pants after having sex, even with condoms.

anyways, have you heard of the same mind tricks being played too?

This was one of the things that did make it through my "christian" armor. I was visited by a miniserial servant from the final cong that I attended. At the time. I was working on the computer and he was watching me. This was in mexico and most of the brothers there don't have computers. Anyway, he just "happened" to bring up the question, "do you know what the society's view is on oral sex?"

It wasn't his business one way or the other. I think of that now and it's funny and creepy at the same time. Creepy that they actually thought about my sexual life, and funny that for a lot of them, it might be the highlight of theirs. LOL!!!!

where to begin.

i guess things have been coming to a head lately with some other things happening in my life which simply do (or should that be did) not sit well with the indoctrination of the jw's.

i was pretty much brought up as a jw.

It was difficult to read and I'm sure I missed a line or two, but I got the most of it and, what's more, it resonated with me inside and out.

Guilt about b-days and christmas? I still feel that way too and I've been out four years. The one thing you're doing smarter than I did, is you're finding a support group. I just kept it all inside and figured I was condemned. GOOD JOB!

Nepotism, favortism, and BLATANT HYPOCRISY? If we weren't so brainwashed, this would have slapped us in the face.

Keep up the good work. OH, and if you want to make your story more readable, edit it by holding your mouse over your post's title and click on the edit menu option. Then, just go through your story, place the mouse cursor at logical breaking points, and hit the enter key twice.

i am having surgery tomorrow and the kind doc gave me a great and wonderful gunk to mix with a half gallon of gatorade.

Now as for toilet hell, better that than toilet jw paradise. Can't you just all picture it. Only the choicest pieces of crap make it there and that only after remaining in their crappy state until the end. HA HA HA!!!

Where do JW's take their breaks today?

i was at a buffet restaurant on saturday for lunch and noticed a boy around 10 years old at the ice cream sundae bar- he had a suit on- .

i was curious as to where jw's take their breaks today and what times they stop for one.

i am on paid leave from work and would like to look for more opportunities to talk to them..

parakeet: i don't think Moshe was planning a bible study with this kid or picking him up at his house and take him to an apostatefest. just talked to him , in passing and planted a few seeds. i bet this kids goes door knocking. so he got a lesson as if he was working a door. no harm. john

I'm with the other's that posted in favor of what Moshe did for the following reasons.

jw are told to be alert for moments to "witness." Shouldn't that be a two-way street?
Moshe didn't lie.
In today's technological world, I doubt this is the first time he's made a connection between "jehovah's witlesses" and the internet.

I was at a buffet restaurant on Saturday for lunch and noticed a boy around 10 years old at the ice cream sundae bar- he had a suit on- !! I casually asked him if he was a Jehovah's Witness. 'Yes" he answered. I mentioned that my kids used to go to the KH , but they found out that the WT Society was not God's organization. I told him they went on to college and school and have careers now. I encouraged him to check on the Internet about the WT Society. He didn't seem upset that I talked to him.
I was curious as to where JW's take their breaks today and what times they stop for one. I am on paid leave from work and would like to look for more opportunities to talk to them.

Also, there's an error in the title of this thread. I think the "too sad" should be replaced with "ALRIGHT." While it's sad that the witness has to have such a deplorable attitude toward her family, these are the kind of incidents that allow people to see the truth about the jw.

I love you both. I understand what you were talking about - seeing your friend do those kind things and still be considered a piece of garbage by the jw. If you take nothing else from your visit here and your dealings with jw, I hope you learn the following:

Jevhovah's Witnesses Are Not God's Spokesmen.

Their opinion of who's righteous and who's not righteous isn't anymore valuable than anyone else's. Don't trust me or anyone else about that, but investigate for yourself.

i was brought up as a j/w and my mum stopped going when i was a teenager.

i tried to get back into it as an adult but spent more time in the bible studies arguing, so i kind of realised after a few years it was going nowhere.. spent years just studying on my own cos i couldnt find a christian organisation i felt i agreed with and stayed clear of church cos of so called.

I sort of envy you. While I've made MUCH PROGRESS in the past four years, I still have a mental connection between church and evil. It isn't something I can deal with on an intellectual level as I know how brainwashed I was. The indoctrination process is EXTREMELY POWERFUL. What I do have now, is a sense of worth and the belief that I'm going to FULLY RECOVER from WATCHROIDS. ROFL!

Yep! Right on! I remember getting those giddy feelings in my stomach as I read a new watchtower article or listened to an assembly program. I was so alert to any small change in doctrine. Since reality doesn't really match the horror story told by the boys in brooklyn the whole thing becomes hypnotic. Any "new light", no matter how small, introduced change and was thus VERY POWERFUL!

this morning, the elder taking the field service group said that all placements of kn37 had to be counted, with the campaign ending on november 12.. placements after the campaign could be made, but not counted.

the service was all hype.. now, let's imagine that all 6,500,000 witnesses placed 50 tracts.

how many would they place altogether?.
