So the real reason the nephilim died off wasn't the flood but natural selection....I was always under the impression that they only had angel Y sperm and no angel X sperm...lol, yeah, I know, silly thought.

Jehovah's Angels are Sexist. No?
by prophecor ini'm only asking because when the angels fell from heaven, witnessing how beautiful the daughters of the sons of men were, they formulated for themselves, material, fleshly bodies in order to pro-create and do the nasty with some really ancient "hoochie mammas".
no where are we given any indication that these angles ever had, nor did they even desire to have sex with us menz, well, humph,.... i guess we know which of the sexes are truly blessed, then.

2nd AA meeting. Would value opinions
by digderidoo ini went to my 2nd aa meeting last night and came away with doubts as to whether this would work for me, so would value peoples opinion especially those who attend aa.. there were one or two there that were quite evangelical, which obviously works for them.
also within the program there is alot of emphasis on god or a higher power.
for many this higher power is the group itself, yet for some it is god.. i spoke to someone sitting by me about this who said that to make sobriety sometimes you have to fake it and go along with the god thing.. at the end of meetings there is a short prayer which i do not want to take part in.

When I was homeless in california, one of the rules for living at the halfway house I ended up at, was that I had to attend either AA or NA or CA meetings regularly. They pretty much assumed that if you were homeless and needing help, it was alcohol or drug related. In my case it was cult related, but I needed the bed and I followed the rules. So, I have been to a couple monhts worth of AA and one of the things that stood out for me is that not all the meetings are alike.
The morning ones, in my opinion, were too religiousy for someone who still had the jw garbage swimming through their brain. Not all meetings have prayers. Not all meetings have a religious theme at all. Some of them are little more than social events and some of them are for all practical purposes, religious ceremonies.
So, if you think you need what AA offers, don't let the personality of one meeting keep you away. Shop around until you find one that fits.

JW literature - do you still have?
by LouBelle ini honestly can't remember when last i held a watchtower or awake in my hands - it kinda creeps me out to even think about having them near me.. i used to have loads of magazines and books, kept my old bible, reasoning book, aid book, live forever, revelation, and greek bible for a while.
but i got to the stage where i just didn't want anymore of that crap in my house - had to thow it out.
the magazines alone filled a couple of black bags.
