  i don't hear much about don adams, current president of wtbs.

  how does he figure into the "good ole boys" gb?

  does he make public appearances like franz and knorr?

  In the 70s, Don Adams wasn't a "partaker" of the emblems, didn't profess to be the anointed/remnant , unless that has changed.

  At Bethel I learned how to make yogurt.

  i just made a batch of yogurt last night and it turned out great.

  i can't remember who at bethel showed me how to make it, but i'm eternally grateful, or for however long i should live.

  it was so warm and humid in b'klyn that i never needed an incubator.

  I learned how to make yogurt too at Bethel in early 70s. I never like yogurt till then. The stuff at the store can't compare. It was the best, the milk brought in from the Farm. I learned from my roommate. To my knowledge she is still there at Bethel.

  Letting go, does it really ever happen as an X- JW?

  i have been here over 2 years, some of you for many more.

  i come and go with postings.

  there are so many fighting history with current marriages to jw's, time put in as elders or what ever title you held.. some of us grew up in the worst possible time period,....description is not always possible here.. sometimes i feel we can;'t get beyond it.....we just keep talking about... is that bad or is that ok?.

  Maybe we should not forget. We have a unique experience that must be told. The Watchtower Society would want us to move quietly along and say nothing about it. If this site, gets one "looky-loo" (but I am sure there are many) and it prevents that person from becoming a JW, then aren't you glad. I am on an ex-JW Meetup site and one person has a JW friend and contacted me recently with questions about JWs. This person is a smart researching kind of person. I am glad to share my experience. Ones leaving the organization need these sites to not feel so alone as they untangle and clear the mental cancer placed by the mind-control of JWdom.

  Our JW Friend told by Elder "Satan is using a Pedophile to Break your Faith"

  i was given permission by a jw friend of my wife and me to post this experience.

  she's anonymous and posts on the board.

  she is married to a witness still but is fighting on behalf of children in her congregation to not be a next victim of a pedophile who attends her congregation.

  So their 'god' is testing her on the pedofile issue, at the expense of the innocent children. Absurd!! Disgusting!! The pedofile has no right to be on a 'stage/platform' anywhere!!

  7 Congregations in My Area, VT, MA, NH, Have Been Cut to 3!!!

  i got this verified today.

  seven congregations that were in my old circuits now are only three.. north and south gardner, ma were merged.. north and south claremont, nh were merged.. north adams, ma and bennington, vt were merged.. the wilmington, vt congregation was dissolved.. there has been discussion to merge the keene and swanzey, nh congregations, but there are some strong personalities among the two bodies of elders opposing that, so it is not likely to happen, though i hear that keene has got some big problems in its boe and very poor service, etc.. that's 9 congregations within about a 70 mile radius that are all seeing some serious trouble.. anyone hearing anything similar happening where they are?.

  WTWizard, when you mentioned about the 'Stimulus' package, I expect the WTS will be encouraging the people to send their Stimulus money on to them. I am sure many will. Makes me sick!

  Question about Prodigal Son parable

  well, after much thought put into it i decided to send a letter requesting reinstatement.

  i met with the jc and tried to reason with them on the prodigal son parable... how the father in this parable did not put his son through a waiting or probationary period, etc but rather embraced him on the spot... their answer was that the 'walk' to his father's home represents meeting attendance... in other words, the 'works' that befit repentance... any ideas???.

  i reminded them that in the last 3 years i've attempted to attend the meetings and yet the anxiety that developed brought me tangible unknown illnesses and symptoms that were unbearable and thus had to stop attending... i was told that i had to find a way to make meetings though; that i'd not die because of that.... i was asked how long did i attend meetings in my last attempt and i said about 4 months... "well, that's about 48 meetings... so say you went to 30 meetings..." i said: "no, i hardly missed any meetings and when i did i made sure the p.0.

  Please understand, the Watchtower Society, Governing Body, most elders are tougher than God himself, because they don't really care about you,,they just want your submission, for you to enslave yourself to them. They really don't love you and never will. They would rather emotionally, socially 'beat' you for probably another year. You must learn to love yourself, care about your self, start reading, take educational courses. Meet other people. Watching Discovery channel programs would be better for you than going to the meetings. Maybe try another church if you have the need. Don't get your wife to study with them. Spend your time with her, growing together, enjoying life as it is now.

  it is said that jehovah's witnesses will learn about "oral sex" again in the next watchtower study although i do not know well.. i think that the governing body is really foolish.. why do 3 years old children need to study such an obscene word with adults?.

  Dumbest new Watchtower study "Don't worry about health just preach!"

  yes three weeks ago my mum wanted to go through the watchtower with me she had just had at the hall, so i read through it.

  basic points....don't worry tooo much about your health...don't be pre-occupied with it...don't promote health products to brothers....the "new system" will cure you so go preaching instead.

  i told my mum that this was the most pointless study ever.

  The Bethel headquarters are provided with their own JW doctors, nurses, medical assistance, dentists, and vision doctors, all for free. So hypocritial!!!
