I expect, the elders will be on extra watchfulness and 'tracking.' Seems like the WTS expects the 'Great Wavering of 2014!'

by Lozza Aussie ini was sitting at meeting the other night and happen to notice an elder with a sheet of paper with the title of the above post.
it appears to have been composed on a computer, not a form printed by the org.
on it were all the names of the people in this particular elders group and there were columns for the days of the week when we have our meetings.

FLDS are horrible. The many wives, and often has been required to marry underage girls. They throw out the young boys (lost boys), so the old farts can get the young girls. Etc.

Active Witness Reading Combatting Cult Mind Control
by BU2B ini have gotten a thought about how to wake active witnesses up.
since the book does not mention jws specifically, if you could get a active jw to read ccmc, what do you think their reaction would be?
could they clearly see how jws fit in as a cult?, or would the average jw be blinded to the obvious and just see how other groups like mormons, moonies, scientology, etc fit the mold?

Why do the GB need a new Bethel compound if the end is so close? Here is the "official" answer
by sir82 inas most of us know, the society is spending 10's of millions of dollars on a giant, state of the art, secluded bunker country club headquarters in very remote, isolated warwick ny.. the question that "some" have is, why?
if armageddon is coming "very soon", why go to all that time & effort & expense?
why have thousands of jws dedicating their time to this massive effort instead of the "lifesaving ministry"?.

ugh,, all the other 7 million JWs must wait for their "beautiful" home and "paradisaic" yards till Armageddon and 'eke' by till then.
Where's their faith that God can protect them? What about all of the thousands of JWs in New York & surrounding metro and all the other cities in the world, etc.?! They'll have to supposedly clean up the mess of all those cities that their god destroys.
The GB is choosing to have their Paradise 'now.' Wish the followers would/could see that!

by James Jackson infor a year now, i have been handling the accounts.
we have 6 elders and 7 ms, and none of them ( i am not serving), want to do the accounts, so they asked me to do it.
here is what i have noticed.. 4 elderly sisters cover the whole congregation in donations monthly!

I left early/mid '80s.
When did the additional contribution boxes start? There are 3 now? Please specify what goes to what? CO expense? Missionaries trips back home? Additional KH contruction funds (would that go for all their new NY building funds)?
If the local KH got more than necessary for expenses, would they put it automatically into the "Worldwide" one (is that for literature? plus?) Seems that there are so many additional costs.
Seems most would want to contribute the most/primarily for local Kingdom Hall.

Since their percentage of members are aging, getting decent seats must be a nightmare. Falls will be frequent in such areas. By nature of reality, crowds and aging people is extremely difficult.
Also, for large families, that have to split up for seating for the few days, is not convenient either.
The WTS is mostly concerned about lawsuits toward them.
I expect the trend of the 'large' district conventions to downsize even more. Rumors, seem to indicate even starting for 2014?

as corporation ceos they have to know what the morale of their employees really is, if they don't they are driving this corporation blindly.

Marathon service days before Sept 1
by gbrn inso my wife showed me her instagram and one of her friends posted a picture of herself and a couple other pioneers with the title "20 hours in so far on our 24 hour day of service!
" mind you they were all sitting in starbucks.

August is the month they try to round up and add any possible inactive publishers and any additional hours or minutes that weren't reported in any past months. This is the last month of their 2013 (fiscal ?) year so they can hype up any increases possible for their Annual Worldwide Report.
