They were given a list of items to put in this "kit"
Was this list on WT letterhead?? Can you get a copy?
i am sure that this has already been discussed, so maybe someone could direct me to the correct link.
i just haven't been able to access this site as often as i would like.
at the meeting tonight (i wasn't there but was told about it), the brothers were told to pack up a "survival kit" with enough provisions to last for six months - water, medications etc.

jw leaks has published the respondent's brief prepared by rick simons in the case: candace conti v. watchtower bible and tract society of new york & fremont congregation of jehovah's witnesses.
(90 pages).
http://jwleaks.org/candace-conti/.
The Court will usually schedule oral argument within a few months after briefing is complete.
So Court reads or studies the written briefs "within few months," 'before the' "oral arguments." So, timing is on course. Schedule for "oral arguments" could be posted soon now?
i'm from jamaica, montego bay to be exact.
if there are other jamaicans here, feel free to let me know.. with that said, it was announced at our last meeting (a letter was read) that the branch office (bethel) in kingston would be closing, and affairs would soon be directed from us hq.
now the branch office here is a large compound built on acres of prime real estate.
thanks, davey,,there were only 88 countries listed there (which lists Jamaica there yet),,2012 Service Report mentioned 96 branches??? Are those on that list considered to be branches (only states "offices")?
first i made love to my wife, maybe i'm better in bed then i thought, because about an hour after that my wife comes back in and i'm sitting at my desk and i asked her, "when the elders df me are you going to leave me, spiritual endangerment and all" she said, no, i don't feel endangered and we talked awhile and i talked about da ing and not sure what to do, then i shared with her a toned down version of the da letter that i posted and that led to her asking about my beliefs and understandings of who the great crowd and 144k, heaven and earthly hopes.
i was even able to tell her how they changed or distorted the meaning of the word naos to show the great crowd not in heaven.
i was able to show her some of the scriptures from the da letter, able to tell her a little about 1914 and how jesus did'nt invisably come in a presence, showing her scriptures on that and some more ttatt.
Wow,,I am so happy for you! This is a wonderful 'miracle' for you! So glad when both husband and wife can stand by each other and 'weather' the storm leaving JWs.

Jamaica - 2011 JW Ratio, 1 pub. to 221 population.
2012 JW Ratio, 1 pub. to 224 population.
JWs not keeping up with population in Jamaica.

2012 Service Year Report showed 96 Branches. Near a 20% reduction from a few years ago. I expect these to continue to reduce. "WIKI" reports the WTS has "30 Zones." Not sure what that means totally. Maybe a "Corporate" term in their International business?? I think the HQ doesn't need "branches" anymore, or can't or won't "support" them.

had this conversion with my dad earlier today, hes an elder...both my parents were laid off during the recession, however, they saved and lived a decent life.
WOW< your folks have been able to keep quite a balance all these years< in comparison to most jws> their example probably helped you to be able to work out that kind of balance< and see you through going to college> how wonderful his expression of being "proud of you>"
although we are not close to done yet i wanted to put up some pics of what we are doing over at the caa home.
it is lots of fun putting this stufff up and the kids love it.
the wife is in heaven because she always loved christmas time because as a kid it was something she totally enjoyed.
Your home is very lovely!!
(Funny, how JWs will consider you so worldly, evil, apostate, with that cute snow man and candy canes in your yard!!)
Merry Christmas to you and your family!
a friend of mine called me yesterday and he told me about a special meeting up at the assembly hall in newburgh, ny regarding the warwick project this passed saturday that all elders and ministerial servants living within a 55 mile radius were invited to.
he told me a lot of stuff but the gist of it was:.
1. volunteer to work.
Do you suspect there won't be much Kingdom Hall or Assembly Hall construction going on these next few years?

Three years of extra madness! Will the locals survive it? This is on top of their own bills, families and regular local demands? It will be interesting to watch this! Sounds like potential frenzy. However, the WTS is a master at driving their volunteers hard with guilt manipulation and organizational skills as long as people don't question.
