wonderful! There is a high rate of Bethelites that leave the organization in time. 50%? I estimate. Maybe more, are stuck due to family.

wow, I wonder what percentage of elders, that know TTATT? 10%? What percentage are in the doubting stage? Another 10%?
A couple years ago, there was a thread that there were 88,000 elders in U.S. That was about average of 7 elders per congregation. So could there be an average of 1 elder per congregation, not believing or doubting??

Found another JWN-like forum in my language!
by ohnightdivine injust a few minutes ago i found out another ex-jw/jw forum online in my native language.. i am soooo happy because i thought there was very little hope of ttatt reaching these people.
as you can see, very few speak english fluently in my country.. but, yay!
the forum is so alive and up-to-date, just like jwn, and i even saw copies of the menlo park congregation docs.. there is still hope after all.. i'd be glad to see even just one member of my congregation wake up to ttatt..

I enjoyed your video very much. All these personal acounts of former JWs (including Bethelites), circumstances leaving JWdom and recovering their lives is so good, plus trying to go forward and help others is great to see.

Friday and Saturday, I went to two ex-JW Christmas parties!! What fun! 12-15 of us at each. One party were 4 ex-Bethelites!
Everyone moving on. Chattering about the past, but joyful and amazed as we have discovered a good life beyond. Christmas means different things to everyone, but for us is an added symbol of freedom for sure!
Merry Christmas or holiday or end of 2013 year, and Happy New Year! May 2014 be eventful, but mostly joyful and peaceful for youl!

Thoughts on going back, am I the only one that feels this way?
by excaliber inhello everyone, i know you have heard this topic before and your probably thinking.
...not again lol.. but i was wondering if anyone has thought of going back for the same reasons as myself, i don't think its the truth but i searched and my conclusion is that other religions don't have the truth, they are all wrong in my opinion.
if there is no other religion to go too, why leave were i was born and raised.

Hopefully you will find more meaningful ways to have fun and need less 'conditional' friends. Hopefully you can find some classes or interest groups that can be mentally stimulating and not just "wandering" around during assemblies, service, life, etc.

Kim,, thank you very much. Hopefully, with your video, ones who are JWs searching or non-JWs, will be able to see this and will be able to 'spot' other red-light JW arguments and how they deny and double-talk.

A story about Reggie and Reginald... and why it makes me cringe... more vomiting
by confusedandalone inso i grew up in new jersey in a very urban part of the state.
i literally only saw white folks if they were in a police car or if i went to the assembly.
the funny thing is at the assembly there was still a level of segregation as well although it was self-imposed.

caa,,I just want to confirm your observation at Bethel, and the racism. At least in '69/'70, I was a 'new girl' and was working with a black 'new boy' in field service several times, assigned in Colombia Heights Cong. , did field service in Greenwich Village (Steve Lett was our book study conductor there then). Bro. B***** told me there was prejudice at Bethel. I denied that at the time. Soon after, I told my brother at Bethel then too. Fortunately, my brother, just looked at me like 'are u clueless?' and said, "just look, are there any black overseers at Bethel? " Then, I saw it.
Then, in response to Swingle. I was a house keeper for the Bethel Library for awhile. Swingle came over to me asking what was "the name of the cute little n***** gal in the Gilead class" there then? I responded "what?" He restated again, no adjustment. I was stunned.
caa, you are so right!
