Best Wishes to your group. In West Phoenix,, we enjoy meeting up once a month. It's fun actually. We have understanding, empathy on where we have been and where we are at and many actually have even developed a unique sense of humor in the experience. http://exjw.meetup.com/431

How proud you must be to see your grandson to personally pick such a worthy mission! a mission not imposed on him but from his own personal heart. He a "doer" already. He is a young man with a purpose (not hitting the streets in suit & tie with a message from some unrealistic group that preaches to "wait" till some future time after God destroys 99% of the world to resolves issues).

Open Minded Christians?
by homeschool indoes anyone know if there is such a thing as a christian church that loves and appreciates jesus, but also recognizes that it is purely a culteral thing and also acknowledges other religions as truth?
are unitarians like this?
i'm getting to the point where i'd really like to find a group like this.

www.meetup.com - Great site for ex-JWs...
by cognac inwell, i came across that site and thinks it's awesome!
i wish i had thought of the idea... anyways, i'd thought i would share it with you all because a lot of jws that have left the borg end up losing all there support system.
this site makes it so that you can meet up with other people at public locations with the same interests as you.

It's $15/mo but fortunately there's a handful of us that go in on that together.

by Albert Einstein inif you are ready for everything... try to listen the talk by ciro aulicino you will be with me in paradise.. the fact, that jw are willing to listen such crap is a proof, they are all insane.
(i wanted to say "idoits", but decided to be polite...).
if you have good guts, sit down and go for it.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwa9kx5wjtm.

We could call or send a letter to Bethel or headquarters, ask if can they can check the taping of that and have them verify if it was a valid JW or was it from an apostate? I like them to have stammer over such questions.

Welcome!!! Two groups in Phoenix metro area. Most members here just met thru the Meetup site. A couple of us had some contact long ago as JWs and now have found each other here again. Our Meetups (once a month) are fun actually. No specific belief agenda, non- judgemental, supportive and understanding, upbuilding. Some still can't have their picture taken here as still have JW family and must have aliases. I have some literature of exJWs that we pass around month by month. Many exJWs writing books nowadays.
One girl emailed me through this Meetup site that had a JW boyfriend, wanting to learn about JWs as he would not talk about it. It was very successful informing her of the facts. Young people today are so comfortable to research and investigate. She ordered Ray Franz' book through Amazon. Fortunately, she knows more about JWs than JWs and has been spared ever becoming a JW.
I hope to see these meetup groups develop in cities all around.

I hate the CO
by superman inso i was talking to my mother the other day, and she was distressed because she was saying that if my little sister isn't baptized or working toward it by the time she's 18 (which is coming up soon) she may have to move out (more then likely she'll move in with me and my girlfriend, or my older sister if that happens).
my little sister is a great kid (high honor roll, no trouble, hard worker, etc), that many parents would be grateful to have.
i asked my mom, why would they take parenting advice from a guy who doesn't (and hasn't) ever had kids?

Gayle
These COs actually get this attitude from the GOVERNING Body. Majority were never parents. No wonder they teach that it is better to let their children die versus getting a blood transfusion. They have no empathy or understanding regarding children at all. Most weren't even JW children themselves.
