AFAIK that guy has never been a JW. He was widely known for adoring Adolf Hitler.
If it was a fact that he adored Adolf Hitler, then he is just evil. Why would anyone have a "machine gun"????

i have not been to a meeting this year.
yet i was invited to a witness "gathering" through my wife and kids.. i really don't want to go.. however, if my reason for not going is because of someones religion, i am really no different than they are.. guess i need to go based on principal.. i won't change my mind, but am interested in your take on this situation.. .
It seems it may be a neutral ground. They may have a way of "love-bombing" you. I went to a nephew's graduation and after dinner in May. My nephew has never been a JW, but his parents had been before (raised in it). But his aunt (a JW) and her husband (elder) came. All was pleasant, no religion discussed. I think a respectful diplomacy by you confuses them (JWs) but it does set a good example to your children and keeps open what a wonderful dad they have. They will see how a non-JW can still be a wonderful, respectful person (and not the evil, wicked person that JWs teach).

Wow,, Freddo,,that is about how it would be with elders and the organization with such stuff.. their response would be truly as sickening, nauseating as the perpetrator himself.

Friday Family Cult, Part 2 Dr. Phil continues his look at extreme religious groups and how their influence can shatter lives and rip families apart - all in the name of God. Wayne Bent, leader of The Lord Our Righteousness Church in New Mexico, was sentenced to 10 years in prison for sexual misconduct with teenage followers. Lorraine and Bambi are former members of this group who left a mother and two sisters behind. They say they are concerned that their family members are fasting, which they consider a matter of life and death. Dr. Phil cameras follow the two women as they travel to the compound in New Mexico in an attempt to rescue their relatives. Is their mission successful, or will they have to accept that their loved ones may live in this environment forever? Then, Taariq and Nichole are a brother and sister who were raised in a group called the United Nuwabian Nation of Moors, on a 400-acre compound located outside of Atlanta. The siblings say they were forced to drop out of school and were sexually molested by the group's leader, Dwight York. Although York was put in prison with the help of Nichole and Taariq's testimony, they say they still struggle to move forward with their lives. Can Taariq and Nichole adjust to the outside world? Don't miss the warning signs that your loved one could be involved in an extreme religious group. (Original airdate: January 14, 2009) |

Tens of thousands of Jehovah's Witnesses meet in France
(AFP) – 43 minutes ago
PARIS — Tens of thousands of Jehovah's Witnesses gathered on Saturday in cities across France for an annual international gathering, the religious movement said.
About 150,000 flocked to meetings with the main gathering in Villepinte, in the Paris region, attracting 50,000 followers.
Several hundred Jehovah's Witnesses were baptised by being immersed in water during the event, which lasts the whole weekend.
Those baptised were adults, following the example of Christ.
Jehovah's Witnesses consider themselves the heirs of a primitive form of Christianity.
Their beliefs are strongly based on the text of the Bible and they consider modern Christian Churches to have deviated from the book's true teachings.
Followers reject the ideas of modern evolutionary theory and refuse blood transfusions.
They are perhaps best known for preaching on doorsteps, where they offer religious literature and attempt to convert people.
The movement emerged towards the end of the 19th century in the United States and arrived in France in 1906.
There are more than seven million Jehovah's Witnesses worldwide and around 150,000 in France.
The group's status varies from country to country. They are given the same recognition as mainstream religions in Austria and Germany but are classed as a "recognised cult" in Denmark.
In France, some of their branches have the status of "religious association" but the movement was also mentioned in a 1995 parliamentary report on sects.

This is so nauseating! He obviously evil, preying on children and elderly. After what he did to that little 4 yr old,,how could he get a job even to "regularly deliver medicaton?" Don't companies do "background checks" on them? Shouldn't the company have accountability.
I doubt families in the local congregation were ever notified about him regarding the prior 4 yr old's assault. They should feel outraged, about having such a perpetrator in their midst. If the elder's knew, then the congregation should be outraged at the elders. If the Watchtower organization knew, they should be outraged at the Governing Body for their protection of such people. The parents within the organization should all stand up to their obligation to protect their children and to be informed of any known sex offenders of any sort in their congregation.
Three years is not enough of a sentence. I find it extremely shameful of a sentence. He's a serial sex offender and I doubt will ever change.
that's a quarter percent increase over last year.
partakers this year was 275. i don't know the partakers figure for last year.
these results were in the u k august kingdom ministry.
Thank you, Alan, for that update. I guess that's 557 people more. Well, with those odds, the percentage of those getting baptized eventually would be low. I see last year there was a 1% increase in publishers in Britain. It will be interesting what kind of increase is happening in the publishers there this year.
well i have been wanting to tell this story for some time now.
does anyone believe that a person is better becoming a jw?
i ask this question because i have carried this around with me for some years now.
"Tabitha" sounded like a zesty gal, with a wonderful passion for life. It is sad that she couldn't find a type personal spirituality to temper herself from those dangerous ways, over-drinking and "DUI". However, many individuals of all religions and the non-religious do find that at some point to wise up in such ways. Unfortunately, "Tabitha" didn't get that later chance to do that.
It is so that there are many "closet alcoholics" within Jehovah's Witnesses. Some have finally left JWs, and some recognized their addiction and straightened up in time. But just suppressing the true spirit of an individual altogether by a very high control person or very high control organization can be very damaging to the "psyche" of the person also and can gradually erode their better qualities also or even "break" them. Depression is certainly existent in Jehovah's Witnesses and many take antidepressants that they also need nowadays.
So, it would be quite questionable that a person like "Tabitha" would have been truly happy as a JW in the long run. I just don't want you to have personal regrets. She was a person who made her choices it sounds like.
