Are you happy?
by cyberjesus in"happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony".

I think this is just about the first or main question, we have to ask ourselves 'honestly' before we can move on away of JWism. The Org always told us we were 'happy' because of Jehovah,,the WTS,,the Meetings, Field service,,new world,,blah,,blah,,blah,,finally something happens & we can honestly admit,,no, I m not happy &&& and after questioning ourselves and re-analyzing,,we finally realize it's not 'our fault' afterall either....

by dissonance_resolved ini'm about 4 months into my fade- things were going ok at first.

The kids (sorry, don't know ages) will soon be jealous of you not having to go. If you can be mentally stimulating and fun with them, they will get drawn to the positive attitude and interest you show in life. If they come home repeating something said about you by a JW or husband, like you don't love Jehovah and will be destroyed at "A" (like what happened to me one time), I just smiled and said "No, God isn't going to do that to me because I love God and "you," forever with all my heart, so there!" And gave a tickle. Keep up your good-heartedness, love and joy of this life and they will follow. It would be 'very' rare for a child to be drawn to JW life if they truly have a choice.

Bibles out of stock at Bethel?
by nochoice inour congregation is rationing regular bibles like they're gold bars.
i was told that bethel is out of stock!
anyone else hear about this?

People don't 'need' a Bible anyway. The WTS quote the parts of the Bible they want within their own books to prove their point/lie. Reading the Bible on their own without the WT would be a waste of people's time and money and in itself not enough to learn WT 'truth' anyway.

3 years into my fade
by gutted inwow so here we are, april 25th.
3 years ago to this day something within me made me google my former religion.
it was all the the years of doubts concentrated into one all nighter to have the veil drop like a sack of shit.
-
Gayle
dear gutted,, Just to let you know I "like" your comments and the process for us that we relate.
We will never 'feel' top of the most knowledgable of the world. the most righteous, the 'only' good or the 'only best' anymore. Nor do we 'want' that anymore, as it was only a 'lie,' a falsehood from the WTS.
Therefore, we grow better in peace and non-judgementalism, one day at a time.

I saw a site selling paperback Bibles for a few dollars each. I don't think the WTS wants to go through the bother, even if they could get a few dollars "donation?" I don't think even 'legally' they can "suggest" a donation amount, right? Printing Bibles is too much of a risk for them, money wise. Better for them to build assembly halls and kingdom halls to get their money increase.

I don't have a good title, just read it
by Honeybucket inlast night my husband and i watched a special on the history channel about the knights templar.
about two weeks before i showed my husband the 607/587 blunder.
first off, he didn't even know that 607 was relevant to jw teachings.

If most JWs don't even know, that "607 BC" has been an important year to the WTS preaching it was the destruction of Jerusalem, the beginning of the so called 2,520 year prophecy pointing to their 1914, to be the beginning of the end of this system, then, no wonder, when the WTs changes anything, they don't get it, because they never even believed it before. Amazing, what they don't even know about their own religion and teachings.

I appreciated the program, Randy!! It also struck me your reason of compassion why you would not the WTS to. . .can't remember exact words, but why you would not like to see the organization to just 'completely' end shortly, you showing a genuine concern for many WT followers who would have critical difficulty in adapting. Very thoughtful.

are the elders waking up too?
by nowwhat? inwe have an older very faithfull elder body and whenever they talk about armegeddon or the end of this system of thiings, they always use "very near, close, soon, etc".
well on the stage one elder when talking about the great tribuation this week , he said "possibly in our lifetime" !!!
that really caught my attention and even my wife's too!

their CO said: "Since it's been nearly 100 years since the statement "Millions now living will never die" and all of those people are in fact dead, it became obvious that the F&DS was wrong about it's understanding of "the generation",
How does the CO and everyone else, not go into the next thought of "what else could they be dogmatic about at this time, that is also 'wrong?'
