I think many getting dismissed, are stunned yet. Still doing the positive talk about the org. out of habit. But I expect as this next year rolls in, that many will have a different tune. -

Is my friend on the way out of the organisation?
by The Rebel inwhen i left the watchtower i realised it was best to put friendships on hold.
however i mentioned to my best friend that i didn't agree with how they handled child abuse issues and that was one of the reasons i left.. anyway as i am fortunate and own two rental apartments and he is a plumber so we have kept in contact, in that i email him when i require his services and he sends me the invoice.
anyway i am now dissociated, but yesterday i emailed him about a pluming problem, and he replied.. " sorry we missed going to the indian ( this was a comment made about us having a meal together about 9 months ago, which i backed out of because i felt he was too indoctrinated and i had not disassociated myself) anyway his email continued:-.

his email continued:-"would be interesting to catch up, was interested in your comment about paedophiles. It also seems there is an issue with money at the moment as they stopped work at Chelmsford and some bethelites have been laid off"
he clearly 'wants' to talk with you, even about WT issues. he is reviewing this organization. It can be a lonely time when one is starting re-analyzing, questioning things and have no one to talk with. Go for it.

Does a brother have to be appointed an MS to be an account servant?
by 4thgen inas many of you know, my ex-husband was removed as an elder for child abuse.
i was told at the time he would never be reappointed in any capacity.
yet i heard today he was appointed as an account servant.

My mom was an acct servant back in early '60s, small congregation, where the "need was great"er. -

exciting,, I just get that when new ones come on site here & make their first comment. at least he is making contact with you. In the name of "business." Just a thought, it has happened, that ones were disfellowshipped just eating at a restaurant with a DA/DF'd person. Maybe? he could just pick up your check at your place, (easy cover) and come in a moment, simple chat, cup of coffee, and see where conversation goes from there?i -

Coordinator of Elders Problems in One Southern England Circuit!
by The Searcher ininformation just passed to me.
let's hope this becomes even more widespread.
i wonder if the britain branch suspects a conspiracy?

makes me wonder with all the reversals, deletions, etc. if the day will come when there will again only be 3 elders of sorts per cong. like the old days, congregation servant, assistant cong. servant, & secretary/treasurer servant (maybe different titles tho). ??? -

Bethel layoff question
by CookieMonster inhi,.
with the layoffs of bethelites and special pioneers, does anyone know if they get some sort of "redundancy" payout?
.
-
Gayle
The Bethelites would have to re,-apply with no "bad attitude," otherwise won't get to reg. Pio. either. So if they go out of bethel or spec. Pio. complaining, then no reg. Pio, elder position, etc.
I think that clip of interviewing former D.O.s on JW.org -- they spoke well of their readjustment, because they know how that works.

About 'Regular' Pioneers
by Gayle innow that district overseers have been deleted, now that bethelites are being devalued and increasingly dismissed, now that special pioneers are being deleted in u.s., and maybe elsewhere gradually.
who would have ever thought?.
yet, now what is the value to be a regular pioneer to the org?
-
Gayle
I suspect most dismissed Bethelites will not take up Reg. Pio., or not for long anyway. Unless they have family or someone helping. But the reality of working in the 'real' world and seeing how easily and quickly the org. can dismiss them and devalue them will hit hard. -

Yet, now what is the value to be a Regular Pioneer to the org? Yes, the org. doesn't have to pay anything for them. I suppose they create some extra hype in congregations and some may get others to go in service more. So what! In the U.S., on the average of baptisms to RPs it takes 4.4 full-time RPs to 1 baptism per year (160,273/36,064). According to some reports, about half baptized are JW kids, therefore, it may take 8 or 9 regular pioneers on avg. to bring in one baptized. No doubt, many to most are just pubs. that have snagged someone some other way to get baptized.
Really, what is their value to the org? Do RPs donate financially much to the org? I expect most don't donate much.
Does the org. need them?
