The Double Standard Continues GOP vs. Dems
by owenfieldreams inhttp://apnews.myway.com/article/20061221/d8m4tnq80.html.
most of us know the story--president clinton's national security advisor removed classified documents and hid them near a construction trailer, and later tried to retrieve them.
upon being detected, he agreed to pay a hefty fine and admitted that he had been caught.. same old story.

Same old story. If this had been an NSA of a republican prez it would not have taken a full year to investigate and litigate. the mainstream media would have made it the never ending lead off on their evening newscasts, a front page story, and made it a part of every interview with any republican, and would have probably demanded hearings to see if the president or any of his officials knew. instead, it is a total nonstory and he gets by with hand slap, mission accomplished though I am sure. More sleaze from the Clinton administration. still obsessed with his legacy or lack thereof. we could not have any evidence that casts a negative shadow on his highness and the fact that he might have missed capturing bin laden, now could we?

i know that it's old news that he got involved with the organization while his career was basically in a free fall, but now that he is enjoying some success again, i am very surprised that he is still claiming to even be a jw.

suicide & the bible
by siy ini have a few questions about suicide!
is there a scriptural principal which makes suicide ok.. i can think of one at the moment, samson... didnt he ask god if he could die with his emamys?.
he chose to end his life by bringing the tempel down on him self & the phillastines.. he didnt say " god save me beneath the rubble" (lack of faith??).

Samson and Judas were the only two prominent ones that I can recall, and one of them is spoken of a lot more favorably than the other in the bible, yet both apparently took their own life. Based on those two examples alone, I think one would have to draw the conclusion that it would depend on all the circumstances involved as to whether someone who committed suicide was justified in doing so. JMO....

Don't Quite Know What To Make of This

i called a couple of times earlier this week as usual, to see how they are doing, and got the answering machine.
no mystery there.

here where i live, we have what's known as the parent/child relationship protection act, which basically prohibits custodial parents from taking children out of state without the consent of the non custodial parent. you may not have that kind of protection where you live, but generally the authorities frown on it and, depending on your divorce decree, you have rights as a parent. I would consult with your attorney, if you haven't already....
