  santa claus on jw site

  i thought jw's weren't supposed to deal with anything christmasy.

  so why is there a santa claus poppin up at the top of the site?

  Gleaning work now, not harvest

  the public talk speaker today said that some countries like the us are no longer in the harvest work but are now in the gleaning work.

  hmmm.

  sounds like a creative way to rationalize the lack of increase.. eby

  *smiles quietly* uhhhmmmm, excuseme, but isnt the "first fruits" of a "harvest" of the SAME KIND? YES!, *grins* There is a hearvesting of Anointed Ones, the 144K were just this, ONLY the FIRST FRUITS! Hell, the "harvest" is just starting! but the borg's "collective" is fast "awakening".

  The time of your life...or... Time IS your life

  its the only thing we have control over..time that is...we can choose to do with it what we will.. how much we give to others, to a cause, to a religion, to an ideal..we have dominion over our time...our choice of allocation to that specific arena in the passage of life.. we hurt ourselves we we give minutes or hours to pursuits that dont match our own ideals or beliefs..... seventy years is not long in terms of minutes or hours..... as an ex witness, i came to the conclusion recently that the biblical issue is really between god and his son satan....we just got caught up in it.

  i no longer have the time or the energy to pursue a mans interpretation of what is the correct view or stance or attitude to have in regard to what the bible is all about, all i can do is say... .. " god...im lost, confused and dissapointed that it wasnt clearer...and how come you gave very clear direction to your servants in the bible, but the wt organisation seem to just limp from one opinion to another..and how come not a single book containing important prophecy interpretation by the spiritual director fred franz in still in print or refered to?".

  Hi Deacon; Don't you know that it was the letters of the Anointed that were used to get the insight that was the fresh water up untill the 7o's? That the GB also then kicked the rest of the Anointed off the GB and took over? That the GB havent published ALL the insight that was sent to them? The true Faithful and Discreet Slave Class (the Anointed) were a bit to discreet and lost the org to the borg!

  Unexpected elder visit

  last week i asked for advice for a relative who had left her husband.. well, yesterday the elders called on her, in her new place, in another congregation's territory, so her husband must have given them her address.. she thought it was the mailman, so opened the door, surprised to see the elders.

  she told them this was not a good time, and one said "can we come back later?

  so he says, "are your refusing to meet with the elders, then?

  It seems to be an insertion by a local church movement group and not of JW origion to me. Like a group sales gimic and or a chamber of com listing for a town also often has the local hall's listed.

  Hi Lee Elder; For some reason I seemed to attract the attentions of the Elders and CO's and DO's. Even Franz sent his "Doc" to visit with me before he died. So I have a few experiances with them. You may find them interesting.

  Yet to me I wonder at the experiances ones have had with the Anointed? Yes, there are fakes and they get sicker every year they partake. Even so there are still a few of them in the halls, WHAT is their "culpability"?

  Yet you may fall afoul of some "religionists" judgemental attitude. Enjoy these holidays with a heart that won't condemn you, grt it?

  elders, culpability, apples & oranges...

  sometimes it's funny when a thread gets off topic----and sometimes it isn't.. a very good question has arisen.."are jehovah's witness elders culpable for damage done by the watchtower by virtue of their postition?".

  somehow the topic changed to "don't blame elders for being 'in' the org, they may be mislead, that's all they know, they do some good, yada yada yada.... like hell!!!!!.

  thee is a big world of difference between being 'in' the org for whatever reason, and being an elder, a public representative, an active campaigner, a judicial committee member...and i can go on and on here....of an organization that teaches death and destruction of most everyone on earth, and whose policies result in deaths of people probably every day.. if a person must stay in, then stay in.

  What of the culpability of the Anointed? Ever wonder just how many have stayed in as to how many have spoken out and got the boot? Or left of their own accord?
