Of course they are, but the WTS convinces them they slave for God and not them and all thier toils will be rewarded with the everlasting life in paradise when really all they're doing is expanding the numbers in a man made, self appointed, self elitist organisation.

For this reason it IS possible to pray to God and get answers
So 'Santismo' does this mean God actually personally answers your prayers? Thats amazing!
So what did he say then when you asked him where he was before he made the universe?
Hey maybe he'll do me the courtesy of answering me if i asked him which (if any) is the right religion!

They make you think there are no good people out there.
by LynnTink inwhat a wonderful response i have received from my last (which was my first post) post from everyone here.
the one thing that was drilled into my head was that you can not trust anyone that is not a jw.
i had only one worldly friend since high school and she has been there for me thru everything.

One REAL friend is better than a thousand plastic JW friends.

JW's and Mormon's argue who has the true religion
by moshe inand, if this ever happened it could go like this:.
a jw debates a mormon about who is the one true religion on earth and a stalemate ensues so they go to an impartial beit din- a jewish religious court of law- the rabbis listens to each sides arguemenst and then rule " we have three choices here,.
#1- the jw is right , #2- the mormon is right or #3, they are both wrong , it's a black and white open and shut case".. the jw protests -""but ,we are god's chosen organization on earth, the governing body told me so!".

Maybe there isn't a true religion at all, maybe there is no God. No one can PROVE that he actually exists all we have is reasoning of his existence.

Psychological turbulence upon leaving the WTS
by greendawn inmost people that have expressed themselves on this issue say that the wts has in effect created some serious psychological problems for them that have far reaching effects and are hard to shake off, as if they were given some kind of potent poison to drink.
that reminds me of babylon the great and her destructive wine cup of anger that she makes the world drink.
but what is it precisely that causes this psychological morbidity and what precisely is it?

'it was the feeling of being so easily fooled that hurt me the most initially, '
Yes 'fullofdoubtnow' i feel the same way as you, the way i was so easily taken in with Bulls**t. They give you answers to your questions that at the time seem quite plausible and give you the illusion of paradise and thats it your sucked in. They are crafty arent they?

It's official ! jw's don't SHUN
by KAYTEE ini have just seen the video with the jw spiritual leader giving evidence in a court case.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e2o4lbgx81u there he says,.
"we dont use the word, shunning".

I think its a strategy to keep you obedient to the WT society and active in the Org. Because all practising JW's know that if they stopped coming to the meetings or was DA'd they would be treated in this way (being shunned) which kinda scares you into staying. No one in the right mind would want to be treat like this and the GB know that thier followers know this so this is yet another fear tool that they use to keep you in the fold.

My First Shunning ...
by exwitless ina former good friend of mine (devout jw still) came into where i work.
i knew she was there, so i went right up to her and said, "hi".
she said "hi" with sort of a sick look on her face, and i said "how are you?".

Well 'exwitless' this goes to show that when you make friendships in the kingdom hall, its not genuine its CONDITIONAL. Its on the basis that you remain an active JW and upon doing so you will have the 'Brothers' and 'Sisters' interested in you and your well being. But as soon as your face goes missing from the meetings for a period of time, well your so-called KH friends just don't bother with you and when you see them out in public like you did you get a cold & awkward shunning like that. I personally havent been to a meeting all year and how many visits have i had off people from the KH i thought were my friends? NONE!!!! It makes me sad because when i first came into this religion i gave up my worldly mates some of which i'd known for years. So i made sacrifices because i thought i was doing the right thing. Yes i and many of us here on this Web have been led astray by this silly, deceptive, mind & life controlling cult that takes everything and gives you nothing but Bulls**t back.

I always thought it was not allowed for JW's to get involved with world politics & voting, based on the scripture:
"They are no part of the world just as i am no part of the world" John17:16, (Jesus talking about his disciples to his father)
