  get your mind out of the gutter, not screwing myself that way haha.. for those that don't know, i'm df'd, trying to get reinstated so i can get family/friends back in my life than fade away faster than the only good radio station you can tune in on a long road trip.

  basically, i can't keep my mouth shut.

  the witnesses always say they are free in christ, i beg to differ, i don't know how many stupid unscriptural laws they have but lets start a thread on how many dumb witness laws you know and have heard of that make no sense or completely unbelievable, it is like they have a second talmud.

  cant have walt disney movies or stuffed animals as this is magical.

  cant have beards.

  There was a post earlier tonight about the JW's do not 'Toast' on the grounds that this practice is Pagan. But at the same time the Wedding Ring exchange which is also Pagan (has its roots in Babylonial origins) is practiced?!?!

  a)because unbeleif is the worst sin anyone could commit.. b)unbelief is a reflection of a bad heart condition.. c)clearly unbeleif is a willful rejection of god's creatorship, because the evidence abounds as to his existence.. d)the fool has said in his heart,"there is no jehovah.

  " and the god of love hates fools.. e)it is all just a clever mind control indoctrinating idea that has kept billions in slavery, making them fearful of ever loosing faith, and thus making it possible for christianity to survive longer than other myths..

  You should never question God for his decisions, did you question your parents when you were little?????

  Sorry to disagree with you aswell 'Zen' but a certain 'Abraham' questioned God's descisions about the destruction of Sodom & Gomorrah. please read Genesis 18:23-33.

  quite a few of my family members are jw's, and i attended the meetings until i was 7 years old when my mom was disfellowhipped.

  i have always had an interest in god but i truly don't know where i feel i belong church-wise.

  i agree mostly with the jw, but there are still things that i don't agree with, and to attend the kingdom hall, knowing that i don't agree with them 100% feels wrong.

  Also with Hell. In revelations, it says that the devil will be hurled with the beast into the lake of fire, where they will be tormented for eternaty. Why is it that every other religion takes it for what it actually says, but witnesses don't believe that hell is a fiery pit where you will be tormented for ever?

  The JW's argue that because the 'wild beast' and 'false prophet' (mentioned in the same verse) have symbolic meanings, the term 'tormented day & night forever' must be symbolic also and hence is not real.

  I as an ex JW don't necessarily agree with that i'm just repeating what i heard at a Sunday morning talk.

  Nice heartfelt post that mate. Well i've gotta say i'm still in the early stages of my recovery but i do get a lot of comfort from this website.

  I was wondering what was the purpose of life if everyone die and then nothing happen after (in opposite to the resurrection teaching of the WBTS

  Who knows?

  I think that the most important thing is to be happy in the present

  I totally agree with you here, to be happy is the most important thing. I mean if your serving God (if there is one) and your not happy then whats the point?

  as many of you know by now - i do not tolerate 'shunners'.

  i have done no evil, killed no one, never raped or pillaged any witnesses.

  i do not tolerate small-minded witnesses who called me 'brother' for most of 40 years, now acting as if i am no better than sh*t on the bottom of their shoes.

  Not only has he failed you as a good friend (or ex good friend) but he has failed you at being a christian and failed his employer with the employee mandatory duty of courteousness & politeness.

  Deep sympathies for you 'LynnTink' and as 'mrsjones' said this could have happened to anyone, anywhere at anytime. But i think at Christmas time there may be a special effort by thieves on this day because they are well aware of the plentiful booty in the neigbourhood.
