Welcome DJK, why not tell us a bit about yourself & how you got out of the Org? But as 'Blondie' says, not TOO much if you know what i mean.

JW Terminology
by KW13 inok guys, list the ones ya know.. the truth/truth = the truth according to jw's is their religion.
for example someone baptized as a jw is baptized in the truth, whereas someone baptized elsewhere is not.. new light/light = a better understanding of the current status quo or 'light' in general which is just knowledge, new light allows for a complete change in beliefs without exception.. god's word = mainly the bible but anything else published by the wbt tract society is also acceptable.. true christians = refers only to jehovah's witnesses or suitable examples from the bible.. apostates = anyone who has been a jehovah's witness who opposes their beliefs (not necessarily people or individuals) and shares how they feel about the watchtower bible and tract society with anyone.
a person who hasn't been a jehovah's witness but does clearly oppose their message and beliefs may also be referred to as an apostate.. experiences = stories that will upbuild and encourage jw's.

The Unforgivable Sin
by lfcviking ini was browsing a section of the watchtower cd rom 2003 on a section to do with 'repentance' and this is what it said:.
beyondrepentance.
those practicing sin willfully after having received the accurate knowledge of the truth have gone beyond the point of repentance, for they have rejected the very purpose for which gods son died and so have joined the ranks of those who sentenced him to death, in effect, impaling the son of god afresh for themselves and exposing him to public shame.

To equate sinning with a man or woman with renouncing Jesus as Messiah and impaling him is ridiculous.
Good point anewme.
I think this is yet another fear tactic that the Watchtower uses to keep you from leaving the Org. By stating that if you leave the Org and follow a natural course of life by maybe meeting someone and having a relationship in the said manner this will be resulting in the Unforgivable Sin and from that point onwards you are DOOMED.
Despicable.

Would Blondie or Mary ever make it as Elders in your old Congregation?
by RULES & REGULATIONS inwe know the wts will never except woman as elders.in the last year as a member of jwd,i have learned more from blondie and mary than any elder in my congregation.all the elders in my congregation look like they go thru the motions.they are more like policy enforcers than teachers.. do you think that by excepting woman, some men would be embarassed to how little they know?
does the wts know some woman would better teachers?
is it more like a men's club?

Truly, if any man or woman put on the qualities that Jesus was attributed with, no congregation would need elders.
Very good point Blond.

Is it because if a man and woman Elder would be together in the same room in an Elders meeting, they would somehow think more about passion than business?
Wayhey! Of course it is!
Naa, seriously i think the Watchtower have got this one right. If women were allowed to be Elders, Mini servants etc there would be a competing & confusion of roles within the congregation and hence upset the structure somewhat. No offence ladies but i think this is one of the WT's policies that actually works.

I was browsing a section of the Watchtower CD ROM 2003 on a section to do with 'Repentance' and this is what it said:
Beyond
repentance. Those ‘practicing sin willfully’ after having received the accurate knowledge of the truth have gone beyond the point of repentance, for they have rejected the very purpose for which God’s Son died and so have joined the ranks of those who sentenced him to death, in effect, ‘impaling the Son of God afresh for themselves and exposing him to public shame.’ (Heb 6:4-8; 10:26-29) This, then, is unforgivable sin. (Mr 3:28, 29)So this means then that anybody who leaves the"Truth' and conducts him/herself in sin i.e for example he/she meets someone and begins a courtship and starts a sexual relationship with them (outside of the bonds of marriage), according to this extract out of the 'Insight to the Scriptures' they are 'practicing sin willfully' and hence have 'gone beyond repentance'. This extract also goes on to say that that person has 'joined the ranks of those who put him to death' i.e he is just as bad as the Scribes & Pharisees & the other Jews who demanded Jesus to be crucified! This then is the Watchtower's definition of 'Unforgivable Sin'.
This is in stark contrast to what the Bible actually says at Matthew 12:31 & 32;
'Every sort of sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the spirit will not be forgiven him'
So we see here the Bible's definition of the unforgivable sin is completely different to the Watchtower's. The Bible makes the point of simply indicating that if one blasphemes against the Holy Spirit it will be unforgivable.
Does anybody agree with me that the Watchtower has twisted this scripture into meaning something totally different?

Why Is Everything Always Wrong To A Jehovah's Witness???
by minimus innothing is ok. everything is problematic..... what if you stumble someone???--------.
let's say you want to invite someone over, you gotta worry about someone thinking your favoring this one over another.
you might be accused of having "cliques".

Why Is Everything Always Wrong To A Jehovah's Witness?
Yes the JW's are very negative & narrowminded about most things. No wonder so many of their members become depressed.
