  Who thinks Cannabis/Marihuana should be legalised?

  i think in most countries it is illegal to use this drug, so do you think it should be decriminalised, legalised & taxed, made legal for the medical proffesion or should it remain completely illegal?

  Its interesting that most of you are in favour of its decriminalisation/legalisation and claiming that its relatively harmless when there are growing reports of this substance having adverse affects on its users. Where i used to live (England) reports of people (that were regular users of this drug) developing psychological disorders were becoming more and more common. You would hear of long term users suffering from 'Psychosis', 'Paranoia', 'Nearvous Anxiety' etc etc. Also as of fairly recently the very strong 'Skunk' form of the drug has become more easily available, so surely there has to be a connection here?

  Do you think its really that harmless?

  hi folks.

  as many of you will know i am having serious doubts regarding many of the jw teachings and doing some research myself, very enlightening.. my point - .

  the bible clearly mentions armageddon, a destructive event, gods war.. jws believe this will happen soon and destroy all the wicked but let the righteous remain.

  I think the major force against it is Budweiser, Seagrams and organized religion. None of them want competition for the consumers entertainment dollar.

  Prove to me Jesus existed...............

  here's a thought guys......prove that jesus existed at all..using anything besides the bible....or the writings of josephus (which have been proven tampered with by the early christian church).

  you are all arguing a moot point...not only has the 'organization' been deceiving you.....but the bible itself is a made up, bit of pap, used to enslave man to his own dismay....prove me wrong.

  Prove to me Jesus existed

  Well its not exactly proof but there is some evidence of his supposed arrival on earth. I remember seeing a documenatary on TV about the discovery of the dead sea scrolls, and one of the scrolls that was found was the complete book of Isaiah. If you know your prophecies then Isaiah fortellls the arrival of the supposed saviour of mankind, the 'wonderful counselor' the 'mighty god' etc etc. Now these scrolls were carbon dated and found to be written about 200BC making them one of the very earliest manuscripts of this book. So if this carbon dating method is a credible way of accurately telling the true age of something then here we have a handwritten document fortelling well in advance of Jesus birth of a saviour/redeemer figure that would fit the description of Jesus due to arrive on Earth.

  Just something to think about........

  something is very very wrong with our world.

  or am i imagining it and things really aren't that bad?.

  personally i think there are issues being played out about which we know nothing, we can only guess at ( i don't think it's the issue of universal sovereignty).

  Did you ever choke while offering prayer?

  of all the times i was called upon to say prayer, i only remember choking once - but it was such a big choke i totally embarrassed myself for days on end afterwards.

  and this one time wasn't even at the kh, it was in a home right before we were going to pre-study the wt.. there were roughly 3 elders, their wives, and some other close friends of mine in the living room.

  i'd say there were around 10 of us total.

  No, but i hated saying prayers. It felt so false churning out the same sh*te every time, repeating the same words you used before and everyone bowing their heads in an over the top show of piety. It was awful.

  i wouldn't announce it at school or work.

  i would shy away from the subject.

  i'm at the special assambly day entitled, jehovah is our potter we are the clay.

  interesting day.

  there was a talk in the morning session which included the news media as one of the tools that satan uses to mislead us.

  They said we should not beleive everything in the newspaper and when articles are published about the JW's it is often lies with the intent to mislead

  If these accusations/stories aren't true then why don't they sue the Newspaper? They make full use of the legal system in other matters so why don't they use it in instances like this?

  No i'm not proud of being either, i wish i hadn't been so guilable in the first place to believe their crap and become a JW, and on the other hand i have a lot of explaining to do when people find out that i used to be one. So saying your an ex JW is a bit like admitting you've been fooled by someone.
