  What is the Conscious Class?

  I believe it refers to the group of JWs who are aware the WTS is a false prophet and teach false doctrine, yet remain JWs for some reason.

  she was here for the bbq, we had an awesome time, laughing, her telling stories from our childhoods.

  i gave her a hug and told her i loved her before she left.

  Marketing. Will Dr. Dean Edell get through to JWs?

  dr. dean edell cited a dutch study on his show today that indicated a 6 times increased risk for maternal death in pregnant jws.

  i could tell he wanted to let loose on a major tirade but then bit his tongue.. .

  i wonder if this headline will have any impact on still-in jws who buy the idea that blood-free medicine is not only pleasing to god but in fact is the safer course of action.. .

  Blood Doctrine Debate

  as has been the case over the summer, my wife and i have been going to two different churches every sunday.

  generally, before church service we speak of religion and the various differences and, of course, why she believes hers is right.

  this time, we spoke briefly about holidays first.

  Balsam, my heart aches for you and I send hugs to you and your family. Tears came to eye when I realized that like you, I never really researched the blood doctrine until 2006. My daughter was raised as a JW and I shudder to think I could would have placed her in danger because of not fully understanding the blood doctrine.

  i would love to do this on a mass scale... think there might be something "big" in the results.. 1. were you a born-in (including those who's parents converted while they were still children) or did you convert as an adult?.

  1. I converted as a young adult, baptized at 21.

  2. Partially. I still believed some of the doctrines when I left. The social control and the way JWs seem to suck the joy out of life irritated me.

  3. Only Jesus is the truth.
  4. I had no fear of Armageddhon; just wanted to please Jehovah.

  Haven't been to a meeting in 3 years...

  first off i'd like to say hello to everyone on this forum, especially those who clicked on my topic.. i was baptized on sept 9, 2000 when i was 15. looking back i only did it because i had been studying with the same brother for 2 years and it seemed like the next logical step.i have 3 half siblings who at one point were all going to the meetings but were never baptized.

  none are in any way affiliated with any congregation at all and live a long way from myself and my mom.. my mother and i are the only ones in my family who have been baptized and as of dec. 2008 i moved into my own place because things were just too tense between us.

  i figured it would be beneficial for our stress levels if i moved out.. when i became inactive my mom kept asking why.

  Take your time deciding what you wish to do with your life. Speak with recruiters from each branch of service as well as several veterans. Weigh your options and take advantage of the benefits and job skills the military offer.

  divorce

  my husband is studying with the witness and attending the hall.we are seperated and 10 days after i left he moved a woman in.

  he says he can't divorce me i have to divorce him.

  i am ill and i need his insurance ,my insurance will not go into effect till 12-2010!!!!

  Your lawyer should ask that insurance coverage continue through your hubby's insurance since you are ill.

  when i was a dub.....and had such good friends...party friends....vacation friends.....we never even did the morning text, cause we all woke up at different times depending on how much we drank the night before.........we could be on a cruise, at a beach house, or riding board in colorado......and damm....spiritual wt conversation was not in the picture!!........

  so kinda funny that they all shun me now, even though i am not dfd........so if i had them over sociall....should they even come, what are they afraid of?...........i mean back then the bible shit never ever came up anyway............oompa.

  did you guys have friends who were all dubby on vaca/holiday or at parties?

  Sometimes the friends would talk about doctrine or some odd bible verse. Most of the time, we did not discuss the organization or the bible, even when speaking to each other between doors in field service.
