2011 Jubilee Year For Watchtower Apostates.

watchtower deliberately not complying with a law ordering all ministers to have a background check.next court hearing feb. 21, 20122... the cruel punishment of shunning now being examined and questioned by some countries around the world.brazil, france, russia.3... the july 15, 2011 watchtower magazine brazenly stating that apostates are mental diseased!

Weird, F'd up dream...
by undercover ini don't usually get too personal here... but i had a fucked up dream last night and it put me in the most foul of moods today.... i gotta type it out while i remember it.

Did Charles Russell know that certain christmas traditions were pagan?
by garyneal inthis is a question that has been on my mind lately because i believe it can make an impact on those 'honest hearted' ones who wonder why the watchtower today is so different than the one led by russell and yet russell can still be considered a brother in good standing.. jehovah's witnesses today acknowledge that the watchtower use to celebrate christmas but as they were being led 'out of the darkness' they changed their ways.
i did some research and it is clear in the old zion's watchtower magazines that russell knew that december 25th was not jesus' birthday but instead it was the time of his conception.
in one article, it even stated that jesus was born september 25 (nine months later) while in another article it stated that jesus was born on october 1st.. what's not clear, however, is whether or not old chuck knew that the traditions were pagan.

I found this quote from russell the other day, I thought it was actually pretty balanced.

Johnny the Bethelite gets his own Dial In Show
by ShirleyW insurprised it hasn't been mentioned here that last night on rick's call in, he going to let johnny have his own call in show started in two weeks i believe, well i believe i'm anxiously waiting for that one.. i can just picture outlaw laughing his ass off at the thought of johnny having his own call in show, but let us all wait and see if it's actually going to happen!.

How Dangerous Is Putin?

this hasn't worked.. putin has been watching this and he has been opposed to the west getting involved.
he no doubt knows what the consequences.

I am personally a bit freaked out over the paralells between Hitler's rise to power and Putin. Remember, Hitler was democratically elected and re-elected for years.
It does bother me greatly that people can't see history repeating itself.
Frankly, Putin scares me more than Hitler, because Putin seems sane.

Recent C.O. visit: Bad news re: U.S. English meeting attendance
by Open mind invisiting a nearby town during his thursday night service talk mentioned how poor meeting attendance is in the english-speaking u.s. congregations.
he said that when the gb reduced the weekly meetings from 3 to 2, there was a brief surge in meeting attendance percentages.
after a few months it began to slide and it hasn't stopped sliding.

I noticed that many conventions were held away from the where the bulk of witnesses lived in the district. I wonder if they try to arrange this to get free travel and accomodations for their bethel speakers.

I was actually somewhat surprised by the apostafest I went to, got to meet the people behind their avatars and the topic for conversation was rarely about the board or JW's.
Everyone I met was exactly how they posted here, nice to know that people can be genuine even when hidden behind the annonimity of the internet.
