Need some pointers/help on small business info

i am in the process of getting a small business/hobby going and am almost finished.

intially from startup i included an inlaw in the process and needless to say things have been "rocky".

i have pretty much funded this entire thing, spent untold hours coding, getting artistic renditions for logos, working with suppliers, contracting out work, etc.

Being able to work without supervision isn't an ability that everyone has. I have had several run ins with people that would love the idea of self employment but when it comes down to sacrificing free time to get it going, it just never gets off the ground.

For a written plan, so long as you outline what you expect from him, by when and highlight what compensation he is entitled to if he meets his end, and conditions for termination.

If you are thinking about the comission sales end of thing, there's many templates available that you could customize.

has been coming up with different sayings to imply that armageddon is just around the corner.. so i thought it would be fun to make up are own sayings and see what we come up with.. i'll start off...... the train is just about to pull into the station.. that egg is just about to hatch .

the weather forecast for today is death and destruction .

One step to handle it would be to actually register a company with you as sole proprietor. Given his poor work ethic, I would say to bring him on as a commission sales with set deliverables. If he misses his targets, then he doesn't get paid. Maybe that would motivate him.

I'm a self employed coder as well, mind me asking what platform you are coding for?

Is the business set up as a partnership and if so, is it a 50/50 arrangement?

Otherwise, what do you have documented?

i learned about y'all in the second grade, and fell in love with your beautiful land.. my geography book was filled with pictures of your wheat fields, lakes, rivers, and smiling people.. one of the ancestors, an aunt of hank aaron, used to regale us with wonderful stories of her visits to your country: the cleanliness, the warmth and friendliness of the people, and the lack of overt racial prejudice.. later on, i read about the underground railroad.

my heart swelled with admiration and respect as i found out how your country welcomed fugitive slaves.. my resolve is to visit y'all one of these fine days and see for myself what i've been told.

my little jw daughter and her dad have been there, and they both agree that canada is a land of freedom and opportunity.. to the canucks on this here forum, i salute you, as you only reinforce what i've been told about y'all.

In all fairness. You can likely get away with calling a Cape Breton'er a newfie. They may protest, but there's no current way to tell them apart.

How many current teachings have not been altered at all?

a point in another thread about the organization being directed by holy spirit made me think of this question.. is there a single teaching from the start of the witnesses that remains unchanged to this day?.

i've spent a few minutes and haven't come up with a single current teaching that hasn't been altered somehow.. - initially there wasn't a paradise earth, all were going to heaven.

- door to door was more public protests.

- Initially there wasn't a paradise earth, all were going to heaven

- Door to door was more public protests

- Magazines Titles were different

- Elders and MS are a new arangement

- 1914, changed from end of the world to Jesus' invisible return

- The Bible, rereleased own version

The Holy Spirit must have really been drinking back in the 1800's

A woman is entertaining some friends on an afternoon when her young son bursts into the room and loudly declares:

"MOMMM, I HAVE TO PEE!"

Mortified, she excuses herself and while helping her son, tries to correct his brashness.

"Son, you don't yell 'I have to pee'... whisper!"

Later that night after the father comes home after a long day at work and relaxes on the couch. The son comes up and tugs on his dad's arm and says "Daaaad, I have to whisper!"

Father half wakes up and says, "It's okay, whisper in daddy's ear"

The imperfections of the elder

outsmart - you keep mentioning the imperfections of the elders....and how people need to overlook them because we are all imperfect and we need to learn what true humility is.....etc etc.

dj - if this is what you believe to be true, then you are mistaken, because even though jehovah's witnesses are directed by holy spirit, we have at times 'gotten it wrong.

dj - i can agree that jehovah's witnesses are god's mouthpiece today, that we do speak for god.

Who has NOT read Combatting Cult Mind Control or Crisis of Conscience?

a lot of people here have read and highly recommend ccmc by steven hassan and coc by ray franz, myself included.

i don't know how i would have handled leaving the borg without that knowledge.. so thinking that got me to wondering, who here has not read them (or has read one but not the other), and how are you coping with exiting the borg?

did you get counseling?

I read CoC and while interesting I had a different take on it than most.

I didn't read CCMC but I did pick up "Toxic Parents" for my wife. One of her main reasons for staying in was to try not to incur the wrath of her controlling, abusive parents. After coming to terms with the fact that her parents would never be supportive of anything she did, the WT's hold seemed to just vanish.

It's an overlooked avenue, in my opinion. Some know the organization is a lie, but are afraid of facing their family.
