Very good points, Tetra. Our government does like to rewrite its own history sometimes, and the media responses to current events can certainly seem to have that effect.

My opinion on the question is that we have seen and heard enough of the killer.
Didn't we pretty much know before he was identified that he was going to turn out to be mentally ill? So what can be learned by the lay public by hearing his deranged rantings over and over? Not much.
I have to agree with this. For me, I consider the coverage of the killer to be educational--but that's because I'm majoring in psych and will probably focus on personality types, personality disorders, and abuse. But I could learn about this stuff from psych classes and psych books rather than on publicly broadcasted media.
This way, it wouldn't fulfill the killer/ abuser's fantasies of immortal infamy, to be relagated to a simple blurb on a text page...along with other similar simple blurbs on the text page...to be seen by psych examiners with insight and without the fear that those perpetrators lived to incite (among the general public). Yeah...stop the media mushroom cloud from spreading. Keep it in mason jar.

about 15 minutes ago, i was in the video shop when i saw a witness i knew from 5 years ago standing next to me.
assuming he was no longer a witness as he was looking at all the porn movies, i start asking him how he's been.
he then insinuates that the only reason i have 5 kids is for the social security payments.... i then come home furious...and yell at my family!.
He had the nerve to judge me...BUT I WASN'T THE ONE LOOKING AT PORN!!! (not that there is anything wrong with that)
His guilty-feeling conscience is probably why he deflected the negative attention over to you. It didn't have to be true to be effective...just wanted attention diverted away from his [questionable for a JW] viewing selections.... Proabably was imagining you judging him at that moment, and lashed out himself....
Yeah...it always feels better when we can think/ speak on our feet. I'm sure there are times when you've managed to work it out that way as well, so...don't be hard on yourself for not batting 1,000. ((((((((( winnie )))))))))

tomorrow at 2:45 arizona time i present/defend my master's research to basically the entire department (anthropology...all the 'sub-disciplines'...socio/cultural, physical and archaeology).
they've changed things a bit in the program so now all grad students who are completing their ma in any given year present on the same day in one big "ma-athon," so *everybody*...all the faculty and many of the students...will be there (defenses used to have a much smaller audience and rarely had people from more than your own sub-disc).. i'm not as nervous as i could be...i've done several different (smaller) presentations of my research both on campus at brown-bags and on-campus grad student conferences and at 2 national meetings, so i've had lots of practice.. the only bad thing is, out of a bunch of students the whole day, i'm the very.
here's to hoping they're ready to leave and *not* that, since there's nobody speaking after me, they can grill me for as long as they want .

Lets say I buy a new alarm. It is pretty effective for a wee bit. Then I don't hear it.
If it makes you feel any better, Sparkplug-- When I finally set my appt. to go to see the neurologist (already knew full well what I had: The DSPS), it took methreetries to get there!!! I slept through the first two times, LOL!! How ironic is that??
...But then, I s'pose, I'm not the first one they've seen sleep through a sleep disorders appt., and won't be the last....

Ok, here is the potion I came up by myself since no one could help me either. It took a while experimenting but I think I've got the balance right so now every morning I would have all of this. Aloe Vera cup, Liquid Iron, Omega 3 fish oil couple of capsules, antioxidants 1, minerals 1, (gotta make sure it has Selenium in it), and mix of ginseng and ginko biloba plus 1 raw carrot. I don't know why but it works. I still have my coffee but I think now it is more of a custom than necessity.
Zagor, if you wouldn't mind giving more specifics on the dosages/ amounts of each of these, I would really appreciate it. This sounds right up my alley, from the types of things I've experienced....
