Petition: Tell Museums to Stop Hiding Watchtower's Past
by rebel8 inplease sign this petition: http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/watchtower-hitler/ .
tell holocaust memorial museums all over the world they should stop hiding the truth about the watchtower societys decades-long anti-semitic/pro-hitler stance.
while individual jehovahs witnesses were suffering at the hands of the nazis, its mother organization was outspokenly supporting hitler and demeaning jews.

a prostitute at 16 thanks to the WT
by mathilde inyesterday i promised i would tell another ugly but true story about sexual abuse within the org,so here we go:.
my ex comes from a catholic family.his youngest sister and he became a jw at the same time ( like me they had an elder brother in the org.but not much contact with the jw) my sister in law had a large family -7 children.6 of them very pretty but also rather stupid but then came young p, a very gentle, handsome and intelligent boy.he really stood out.
he was brilliant at school and they wanted him to study- but his parents said no.somebody from school came over to talk with the parents-this man said it would be a terrible waste not to let such an intelligent young man study, but they were unshakable-it was almost paradise time and this boy would never use that education for anything- so why bother?

On Drawn Blood
by Sunspot inthere is a discussion on another board that has to do with blood that has been drawn, and the poster said this:.
***according to the october 15, 2000 watchtower jw's are allowed to have any amount of blood completely removed from their body, stored, taken to a lab, treated in some manner, and then later transfused back into their veins as long as the procedure is done within a single hospital stay.
several of these approved procedures are described in the november 2006 kingdom ministry.. it is no longer true to say that jw's abstain from transfusions of whole blood, white cells, red cells, plasma or platelets because they can accept any and all of these in autologous form so long as the procedure of "removal / reuse" is done within a single hospital stay.

Yeah...if I waited...I would have found that this "new provision" [blood doctrine change] from the FDS was just around the coroner......................

Is that something that the HLC will discreetly say to a patient? Anyone with any HLC experience here?
Did not talk to HLC directly but did consult the elders, etc., and asked to borrow one elder's blood videos to research 'acceptable' options, etc. This was even while being inactive.
I suppose the HLC was notified, in anticipation of my coming back to them for further help [which I didn't] and gearing up for a 'bloody fight' (for patient's [read: WT] rights, etc.).
My surgery was scheduled for mid-August 2006. It took place in two stages, six days apart--and their last patient who had with this surgery L-O-S-T over 3 liters of blood.
I was told I don't have that much blood in my whole body.
The elders knew what I was facing...and that I was scared...and researching options ('acceptable' options). Even this new change would NOT have saved me.
I do wonder how the GB responded from a phone call from my local elders. I can't help but think they must have called them.

The quote that it is not religious persecution to publicly expose false religions. Here is the one from 63, I thought there was also an older one sounding basically the same just a little less wordy.
Can there be false religion? It is not a form of religious persecution for anyone to say and to show that another religion is false. It is not religious persecution for an informed person to expose publicly a certain religion as being false, thus allowing persons to see the difference between false religion and true religion. But in order to make the exposure and show the wrong religions to be false, the true worshiper will have to use an authoritative means of judgment, a rule of measurement that cannot be proved faulty. To make a public exposure of false religion is certainly of more value than exposing a news report as being untrue; it is a public service instead of a religious persecution and it has to do with the eternal life and happiness of the public. Still it leaves the public free to choose. - The Watchtower, 11/15/63, page 688
Wow. That's a great opening quote for this website!
