Women and Men....Can they be 'just good friends'........
by fifi40 ini regularly talk to a poster on this board via the pm system...............mainly because i like his mind.......today he suggested in reply to something i had said that basically men and women dont do friendship.........he asked the question 'why do people even bother with each other if they dont fancy each others intimacy?
'...............not that he was suggesting this about us.........but i am just wondering what you lot think.. it has been my experience to have some wonderful men friends...........i love mens company and their conversation..........now i am wondering if all those 'mates' were/are after something else............well not really........i am pretty sure at least some of them arent.. so whats your view/experience.........can men and women just be good friends.. oh and to my friend who i pm.........this is not a criticism of you.........i am interested in what others experiences are..........and i will give you a big kiss (on the cheek) one day when i see ya to make up for it.......... fi.

Well from some of the stuff I've read..............I dont think I will ever trust a fella again............when he says he likes me for my stimulating conversation and trys to talk to me about football..............
It is now becoming clearer that it may actually be blokes who have a problem with being mates with the ladies..........or at least some of them.............most of the girls dont find it difficult to accept men as friends without the desire to hop into the sack with them (or even imagine it)...............that said I can also see that 'chemistry' is a huge deciding factor in who we like hanging around with...........but I have to say it doesnt always mean its about sex........

Now I am thinking about this more (and because for Britsh readers the apprentice has just finished)................I was friends with this married couple and got on with them both, but actually preferred the husband................loved his sense of humour and intelligence, but there was no way in a million years that there was anything sexual in it ......................he used to call me his little sis...............we have even joked about if we were the last two surviving humans on earth we couldnt 'do it' for the sake of the human race (well not unless there was a turkey baster involved)....................they have been together from their early teens and are in there own ways devoted to each other...........
Reading some (the minority) of the replies I wonder if it is harder for guys to be 'just friends' with the girlies, than it is for the girlies to be 'just friends' with the guys............could it be really true that (some) 'men think with their ***** whereas girls are just more open to friendship for friendship sake.
