  this morning i had a 40 min phone conversation with my ex husband because i spoke with my 15 year old son on wednesday about the inaccuracies of the jw belief system he has been raised with by his dad.

  obviously ex husband is not happy about this.

  the one thing he kept saying is that even if it is wrong it is not a bad way to live your life............what would you say to this?.

  Baby Bible Bashers

  watched this rather disturbing documentary last night about young children involved in preaching some form of religious faith.......its is probably worth clicking on the video clips to get a feel of this programme.. http://www.channel4.com/culture/microsites/c/cutting_edge/baby_bible_bashers/.

  one of the most alarming things for me is the story of ana dias who started preaching age 3, and now as a teenager admits to sharing her father's bed.. but in general the way these kids preach is quite scary in terms of the brainwashing and manipulation that these small children are exposed to...........reminds me of another religion i know.. fi.

  Watched the film Sicko by Michael Moore......

  watched this film last night and i just wondered what others thoughts are on it........sorry if this topic has already been discussed.. basically the film picks on the usa's health care system as compared to other countries including canada, britain, france and cuba.. in britain we take for granted the nhs which we pay for through national insurance contributions, children up to 16 and the retired over 65 get free health care.............watching sicko made me appreciative of the system we have in place which is similar to the other countries mentioned.. thoughts anybody???

  Help needed on proof of cover ups, deceit and change of doctrines for Alema

  aleman is new to the board and is a jw intent on defending them.. despite some arguments given he is looking for proof of anything that discredits jws whether this is change of doctrine, the reliability of the nwt, cover ups of sexual abuse cases and pay outs, blood doctrine issues........by and large anything that we would use to say why we no longer believe and shows the jws of being corrupt, brainwashed, deceitful or just plain not the right religion.. if you have thread links that you can supply for him to read i would greatly appreciate it.. i am not sure if he is yet baptised but he defends their views strongly.. he also feels that the board members here do not have spirtuality so any of you who have religious beliefs still please would you give a few short lines on your thoughts.. all input gratefully received.. fi.

  i have only gone an emailed a popular daytime uk tv programme that debates controversial topics asking them to consider doing a show about the jws, blood, their ever changing teachings and the cover ups.. now i am a whole lot nervous about it........aaaggghhh.

  part of me hopes they just ignore me....... fi (who is just packing her bag to catch the next flight to somewhere remote).
