Could you still use your hard drive? hahahaha, or if you didn't have enough memory could you? Hello I don't want to be outdated in 3-6 months. No, don't mind tickling the keys but wouldn't want to live as one unless I am a laptop. Even there I would have to be very choosy who my owner is.

HELP! Trying to convince my parents I am going to meetings!
by stillAwitness ina few weeks ago i posted about about how my parents have been asking about wether or not my card has been sent to my "new congregation" since i moved out in july.
up until now, i have been stalling not knowing wether or not i wanted to just come out and say "i have not been going to meetings" or not take any action at all.
well someone left an interesting piece of advice on my thread that i have been contemplating doing.that maybe, perhaps i should just have my card sent to a congregation that isn't anywhere near the actual city i live in.

Life can be very depressing, whether internally or externally forced on us. I am not a therapist but have needed it in the past for over 6 months and I put myself in a two week hospital for extreme depression that haunted me for over 30 years. It helped me wonderfully, that was over 15 years ago, many times things can come up from nowhere to bite you. However Paul said that God never forgets our love shown no matter what some org might say about us or another persons opinion is about us.
Hebrews 6:10
10 God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.
Interesting though Jesus of all people should have never had to go through what he did however the Bible says that only after his going through his situations and trials that he became perfected. Hebrews 5:8 says
8 Although he was a son, he learned obedience from what he suffered 9 and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him.
They say adversity builds character, I think adversity reveals character. Only when looking back after you come through it, does a person see what it has shown about themselves. Whatever the depression take courage, there is a tomorrow, there is light at the end of the tunnel and even though when going through it, it doesn't seem this way. It can always be worse, we should all focus on what we have not what we don't have, whether materially or otherwise. We have many blessings around us, even as this forum speaks for itself. There could be no one listening. I truly wish you the very best and peace my brother.

That's not shameful, they didn't mind saying just exposed. Jesus said what ever you say in darkness or private will be announced on the rooftops. If they have nothing to be ashamed of then they won't mind it being exposed to all. I believe this is the org that likes to expose everyone else for everything that they do.
Gal 6:7 7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows
They are only reaping what they have sown. It is a principle of nature. They expose, they get exposed.

Wouldn't that also be giving alcohol to minors as many many witnesses get married right out of school so they can have legitimate sex, only to be miserable later or divorce at a higher rate then the world they condemn?

"I absolutely do hate him" from Russell
1 John 3: 11-15
11 This is the message you have heard from the beginning: We should love one another. 12 We must not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and killed his brother. And why did he kill him? Because Cain had been doing what was evil, and his brother had been doing what was righteous. 13 So don’t be surprised, dear brothers and sisters, [ c ] if the world hates you. 14 If we love our Christian brothers and sisters, [ d ] it proves that we have passed from death to life. But a person who has no love is still dead. 15 Anyone who hates another brother or sister [ e ] is really a murderer at heart. And you know that murderers don’t have eternal life within them.
Should have read this and asked him why does he even go to the meetings. Sad when people equate mag distribution (stopping at McDonalds for 45 minute hamburgers to continue counting their time) to love and not really get the sense of it.
1 John 4:8 also says 8 But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
Maybe he doesn't have the direct line with Jah like he thinks he does.

Don't fret too much about records, to the writing of many books there is no end and it is wearisome to the flesh, what does that tell you? There is only one record that is really mentioned in the Bible and the Witnesses nor anyone else can get their hands on it and have nothing to do with it. It says
Malachi 3:16 (Amplified Bible)
16 Then those who feared the Lord talked often one to another; and the Lord listened and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him of those who reverenced and worshipfully feared the Lord and who thought on His name. Let them do what they want, it has no signficant meaning whether it came from a CO who is acting as a rogue, or otherwise. It always amazed me when the CO would show up, it was like someone important is coming or something and everybody made a big tado about it. They are just men, a pile of dust from what the Bible tells me, no different than you or me. They are not inspired and the records mean nothing. I bet it won't change your life one way or the other. Sorry to tell you that but old records is not like Cold Case Files on TV. Thanks for the compliment, take care and wish you well.

I have read the Bible as many of you have, can't find one case of Jesus or the apostles or anyone else in the congr's badgering, annoying others, spying, setting up networks to check in on other Christians in the first century. By their fruits you will recognize them is what I was told.

WOW, now that sounds so familar, where is the wisdom from above that James spoke of if they have God's spirit on them durning these meetings. I wonder if they realize that even Jehovah himself spoke with the biggest apostate of all in Job? Did they stick their fingers in their ears and say I can't hear you over and over again? Sad, and they actually think that this is God directed with kangaroos in their courtrooms. I just can't believe Jesus acting this way to anyone. He used the scriptures effectively with Satan when tempted, he spoke with the apostate Pharisees but never acted that way. No defense except I will take my ball home and play by myself then.

I know of one brother who showed up so drunk for his own wedding from the night before, they had to have a bucket for him to spew in during his vows, glorifying indeed.
