WTS brain drain
by Doubting Bro inin reading this board for awhile, i've noticed that many who post here are quite intelligent and were used to varying degrees while in the borg.
yet, you are the folks that felt the need to leave or at least disengage.
when you think about businesses that have been sucessful for a long period of time (not that many because its pretty tough) one thing they have in common is the ability to attract and keep top performing employees, whether they're on the front line or in management.

Bible studies that lasted years......................

what was the longest bible study you knew of ???.
i knew a couple of pioneer sisters who had studies that lasted about 6 years, maybe they were longer...............they never came to the meetings and when i accompanied a sister on hers.

Time, all this counting of time and for what? To impress, get the elders off your back? If you genuinely care and love the other person would they do it for no recognition at all? After all Jesus said not to blow your horns, left hand not know what right is doing, love doesnt look after its own interest.
Let's be honest, it is a job to them and for status quo. I have seen studies last years and years as an ex elder, seen studies counted for elders wives for those that came back to be reprogrammed. I wonder how many hours Jesus and the apostles got in a month? This is one the stupidest things they ever came up with.

Do elders 'frighten' you?
by gypsytart ini put 'frighten' in quote marks because i'm not sure that's exactly the word i'm looking for.
i've been away from the borg for 10 years now, and it doesn't bother me these days when i'm called on by jws - most of whom i know as i'm living in the same area still.
i can quite happily stand up for myself to them - although i have to be a little careful what i say as i was a fader and never df'd.

I use to have that view until I read the Bible and realize with Jah's help that fear of men is what lies a snare. Be afraid of men, how silly, I prefer to put my fear where it should be and where the Bible says so. I fear God as rightly I should, but men, are you afraid of the dust and dirt you walk on? Remember that is what all of us are, now wouldn't that be silly?

If you define sex by the WT standard, I would say the 95% of the witnesses had pre-marital sex. After my ex and I were married it is unbelievable how many fooled around, made it to second or third base or hit a home run, as many would talk in private sectors without the elders who many of them had premarital sex would be around. They lied about it for years and buried it beneath the rest of the running.

I agree with you IP_Sec, he may not get sadden by us but I think He does, but I was saying it is the saddest to ME. Rejection is never easy as this forum is filled with it.

by moomanchu ini won't go into details.. family is split down the middle by jw,s.. whats irritating is now that he's dead jw side of family is saying we'll see him in paradise said prayer for him and acting like he was jw but at the same time treating da'ed and faded side of family as evil.. maybe they'll treat us nice after we're dead to yeaaah!!!!.

I don't know the witness stance on the matter anymore bc they change so much and haven't tried to fill my mind with man made religion but they use to say if a person dies in a DF'd state or DA'd state, they wouldn't get life and "man I wouldn't want to be in their shoes on judgement day" I dont' really care what the WT says about this subject or their thoughts on it. They change more than Custer had Indians.
The Bible on the other hand says in Romans 6:7 7 For he who has died has been acquitted from [his] sin.
