Do You Believe The JWs YOU Know Are "True Believers"???

most witnesses i know laughingly smirk about the "end".
i wonder how many jws actually would die for "the truth".

That is why belief in a system of relgion based on men means nothing, but a realationship with God and Christ will mean everything. I will never put my trust in men or an org again. I dont know if I would have been willing to die then, maybe at my zenith of being one but I feel now I would do so willing. I say feel instead of know, no one knows what they will do until they are confronted with such an issue.

Why be obedient to god?
by nicolaou inif a creator god is real and he is the source of life well then i would certainly acknowledge that and give him thanks for my existence and for the universe i live in.
but obedience?.
my mum and dad gave me life, ensured my education, looked after my health and wellbeing, loved me, taught me the value of kindness and friendships and so much more.

As much as I dont want to experience cruel behavior or mean actions, Just becasue God has allowed it doesn't mean that he is the reason behind it. If he has caused it or ordered it, it is His right, he owns the planet/universe and everything in it, including us. He also has the power to undo any damage or hurt, He is not human. So as I read your question, and having the power of free will, if you want to hate a person then that is your option as it is my option to choose to love this person that everyone keeps pointing the finger at and blaming. He is not a genie that is there on OUR command, He is God and has more understanding, knowledge and power than we can imagine. He will do what He chooses at the appropriate time and not at our complaining. I choose not to blame Him but rather wait on Him, it isn't like any of us can spin the planet faster and get where we are going any sooner then we are. We are all waiting, in the mean time, I will take my side with God.

The same reasons why you should be obedient to your parents, your vows if married, ect... LOVE, love should be the motive for it, if not, you will not follow obediance for the right reasons. We are prone to selfishness and unless we fight that quality and do it because we should, it wont last.

Are you still scared of Jehovah?
by MsMcDucket ini remember the watchtower organization having me so scared of jehovah that i was getting paranoid.
i kept thinking he was watching me no matter where i was at.
i wouldn't dare say anything bad against the organization because jehovah was listening to me.

Scared and fear to me are two different things, I am not scared of Jehovah and especially since I have really gotten to know Him through His Son and reading the Bible. I now see Him as the loving Father that He is and not the person the witnesses have described Him, a person who could never be pleased. I fear Him as I did and still do my father who is now 86 years old, but not scared in the sense that we were all taught.

it's not even worth going to hr about because she makes sure you get fired if you do that, but not before dragging your reputation through the mud.

XBHERE that last line was funny, besides all the things mentioned here they will also dangle the carrot in front of him and TELL him that they really considered him for elder the last CO visit and will tell him what he needs to do and see how high he will jump in the next 6 months.

I was NOT shunned today!

Most run from me, but I have had a couple of ones in the last year or two that have said hi and it is a shame to measure how good we feel because someone from our past has been human. I am glad for you Jeff, hopefully others will become human in time.
