  a jw threw the "the light gets brighter" thing at me and i want to ask what it means when they flip flop between yes and no on issues.

  The cult book "You can live forever in paradice on earth" really emphasizes to take in accurate knowledge but sadly the Jws don't know what accurate knowledge is because they teach nothing but false doctrine and lies!!

  Just thought I'd chime in that,for this year at least and still, the "144,000" is still to be regarded as a literal number. That it is a literal # was mentioned during the talk at the memorial.

  But that elder who gave the talk probably hasn't clued into the 1935 doctrine changes yet. I mean 99.99% of all JWs still haven't got a clue about these changes. I've asked a few JWs and they have not heard of any changes!!. I predict a change from literal to symbolic for the 144,000 IT JUST MAKES SENSE

  I find it very amusing that the dubs still had not got their mags until after the memorial and much later than JWD apostates

  The first post of this thread was on Mar 10,2007 so this shows that the WTS must have instructed the elders to not release the May1st mag. There must be a BOE letter somewhere about this!!

  BINGO!!!!

  The 144,000 must be a symbolic number now!!. Remember that anyone can be a remnant and they won't get any dirty looks .That's right, any kook can walk off the street and say they are a remnant and the WTS must without question accept them as remnant .(The May1st QFR says so) So now the theme for the assembley "follow the Christ " is an actual sumbliminal invitation for anyone to become a remnant!!. This is all making so much sense now . The WTS are squirming for new converts anyway they can get

  All they have to do is stop counting the partakers and count only those that attend the memorial, that way the WTS can hide the increases in remnant.

  Maybe the assembly will say that the 144,090 is symbolic.

  Question on the new light regarding annointed and 1935

  i see there is some new light out there regarding the date when the ranks of the annointed stopped being filled.

  as everyone knows, this was probably the most untenable aspect of the annointed/two classes of christian doctrine because, tick-tock, the world hasn't ended yet and we are quickly running out of people who could credibly have been annointed and lived before 1935.. my question:.

  wasn't this date given it's credibility (since there was no scriptural basis for selecting this date) by rutheford claiming that an angel told him?.

  Franz was Rutherford's ghost writer so whatever Rutherford taught was basically parroted by Franz.

  1935 was Rutherfords announcment of the "great multitude" so according to Rutherford 1935 had significance. As time went by, the doctine concerning 1935 was bolted together. Franz contrives some doctrine about 1935 in his "loaded language" masterpiece "Babylon the great has fallen - god's kingdom rules" which was written in 1963.
