Do you make any kinds of breads? Which ones do you like?

I like to make bread, love it, in fact. It's easy to do, and always tastes good. Around here lately everyone has been making no-knead bread, which takes a whole day but only a few minutes of actual work. The problem with homemade bread is that it tastes so good, it's easy to overeat.

I like to make pumpkin bread, too, a quick bread with lots of pumpkin puree, applesauce and nuts, so it's not so overwhelmingly bad for me.

Ndmum - what great stories about your kids. How wonderful that they aren't suffering through a JW childhood.

SandraC - what an encouraging story. I'm glad you found the inner strength to solve your financial problems. It's tough being retired without any resources. Good luck with the court reporter training. My sister took that training, it was difficult.

Nancy -- I agree with you. Having a free mind and the ability to think for myself is one of the greatest things about life post-JW.

Coco - I miss the beach too. I hope to get out to the northern CA coast this summer for a couple of days.

Dazed etc., you're right. That extravagant lifestyle, if the income doesn't warrant it, is the death knell for businesses.
