I Want Your Thoughts On This: A 80 Year Old Man Lost His Wife....
by minimus inand within a month, he has been seeing a 69 year old woman who lived upstairs from him.
.
the wife has been sick for a year and she passed away in october.. now, the 80 year old man is like a teenager with this woman, making out in public places with this woman and introducing her to family and friends as his new girlfriend that he "loves".. the father's family thinks this is weird and are concerned about it.. any thoughts?

What kind of trust? Sounds as though you need to consult a lawyer for advice. Trusts can be complicated. Although I don't see what the trust has to do with the blood issue -- some sort of medical power of attorney?

OMBG! Waves of bloody nostalgia are sweeping over me!
by fulltimestudent inmy gay xjw friend sent me a link to a site (must be an unofficial jw site) with so many do and co talks - f*** me dead!
its like hearing the dead talk.
anyway, my friend somehow had found out that one of his (years ago) bible studies was featured on it.

One of the things I have noticed over the years is that people who tell you to clean up your language or some other little correction are using that to draw attention to their own superiority.
"Clean up your language -- see what a pure person I am and what an awful person you are?"

Has anyone else gotten rid of their TV?
by NewYork44M inwe have not had a tv for about 2 years.
and even befor this we did not have cable and spent very little time in front of the tv.
that does not mean that we are anti entertainment.

I get my news online too, BBC online for international, and our local paper has an online site, too.

I agree with you -- I have a sister who is still bitter about our childhood, even though we are in our 60s now. I have left it all in the past and I'm a pretty happy person. However, I still wouldn't voluntarily submit to listening to a "talk" from a JW. Yuck!
I think you're right about Perry.

But, Wait! There's more! You can get two for the price of one (just pay separate exorbitant shipping and handling fee!)!!
I get tired listening to people who talk in all caps and use lots of exclamation points in their speech.

I seldom watch television, as most things I want to watch I can watch on the internet. I have netflix, too.

You might want to stop calling it "the truth." It isn't true.
Everyone has given some good advice -- the only thing I can say is take your time, do what you can to make life easier. As for those in your family who have already left the org., it wouldn't be a slap in the face if you do too. It would be a triumph and they would welcome it. I know, as the first person out in my family, I welcomed it when each new family member quit being a JW.

It's the kind of reminder that makes you really really glad you got out of the org. before you became that kind of drone yourself.
I can't stand to listen to it, I'd rather shove a sharp stick into my ears.
There are kids on this site. Please clean up the rhetoric.
Double huh?
