  wiser men have lived and died than those ignorant dictators of brooklyn, for those that are pondering the courage required to cease the so called life as subjects to their whim, consider the words of someone far more inspirational than self appointed men hiding from real life dictating to millions how to live.... .

  out of the night that covers me, black as the pit from pole to pole, i thank whatever gods may be for my unconquerable soul.. in the fell clutch of circumstance i have not winced nor cried aloud.

  freedon of religion guarantees any individual the legal right to abandon any religion at any time for any reason.. if you are a citizen of a country which champions human rights, then your government doesn t care what religion you join, but they will uphold your freedom to join it, without interference, coercion or persecution.

  your countries human rights legislation will conversely uphold your rights when it comes time to abandon any religion you so choose.

  those (elders) who incite others interfere, coerce or persecute those who have left will be in transgression of the human rights statutes.. a person is only obligated to ecclesiastic law if he exposes himself to it or transgressed it while still a member of a religious community.. when your time comes to abandon the jw-wt cult, do it while still in good standing, be proactive - be decisive -put it in writing!..and do it before the hounders set sights on you.. write a card or letter with as much or as little explanation as you one day might wish to share with pharisees and lawyers.. take this card to a notary public to have your signature witnessed and have the writing overstamped in several places with the date.

  An easier way: turn your back and walk away. No announcement, no drama. Don't talk to them any more. If they call or visit, just say no quite politely while hanging up or shutting the door.

  a flash mob is defined as a large public gathering at which people perform an unusual or seemingly random act and then disperse.. jws are now in on the act and were doing this in bath on unsuspecting convention delegates during their tours after the convention.

  i got a huge turkey on sale and i need to cook it.

  i'm making turkey and trimmings, neighbors are bringing whatever they want, mostly vegetarian stuff.

  I wish I could see all of you! Flipper, you and CoCo are just a 4 or 5 hour drive from me, I think. Also, there are one or two folks from Redding that are on here now and then, but I haven't met them. Finally Awake, not sure where you are -- but would like to meet you, too, someday

  Be honest post do all posters on this site believe the bible is 100% or has flaws?

  we in the psychology/sociology field have a saying "when people protest too loud usually they are overcompensating".

  i did not understand that when i first started studying psychology but now i understand it completely and it is so true.

  when i hear someone constantly bashing something or someone such as gay bashing or ethnic bashing or religion bashing sometimes i wonder what are they hiding.

  Who believes the bible? Hardly anyone, I imagine, even though they think they do. I don't believe it, just some ancient mythology that has maybe a tiny bit of historical interest, that's all. People who try to live modern lives by the rules of the bible are, frankly, out of their minds.

  Is it worth it trying to wake up a friend and my parents?

  my situation right now is trying that how my friend and parents that the jw's are not the true religion.

  i've shown numerous examples of flip flopped doctrine, false predicions, the validity of the jesus choosing the bible students in 1919 and more.

  but it seems that although the recognize these mistakes they ask me, "aren't you happy the organization is making progress?

  We know you're a smart kid -- only someone smart could wake up to the truth about the wtbts at such an early age! Use those smarts in your favor, make a plan of what you want your life to be. When you have some sort of goal, make a list of steps it will take to get there, and then find ways to start working on those steps. For instance, even if it's difficult, find a way to go to college/university. Make some outside friends. Don't make stupid decisions like getting hooked on drugs/alcohol or getting pregnant/getting someone else pregnant (don't know if you're a young man/woman). Be ready to run your own life when you are legally old enough to do so. Save some money, learn some kind of job skill.

  Sorry, old woman here, can't resist preaching!
