Thanks for the "mark all messages read" doodad.
Now, may we please have a way to delete all those old messages? No point in having them hang around, and I'm sure it would free up some space on your site.
Thanks!
some quick updates, mostly cosmetic:.
the message sending form should display better feedback of why a message is invalid (which will prevent the send button becoming active).. if your status is telling you that you have unread messages then you should see an option in the 'inbox' page to reset the count / mark all messages read.
just press it once, be patient - marking the actual messages is done in the background.. the topic and post counts are being updated - some will still be incorrect while it processes the data but after that should be correct.

a guide to getting people to take you seriously - 10 tips for all you dummies.
) do your best to insult everyone's intelligence and upset them as much as possible.
personal attacks are especially effective at getting people on your side..
Insult people and then tell them they have no sense of humor when they object.
Go on the attack (verbally) and then pretend to be the victim.
Play the victim card on all occasions.
Write a long post about how awful everyone is on the forum and how you're never posting here again. Then lurk and read the responses to your thread. Especially good if you think people will beg you not to leave.
Recant, so you can stir up more trouble and then write another I Quit post.
yesterday, i brought a batch of cupcakes to my son's school.
in passing them out, i started to give one to one of the children, who was a jw.
he immediately started freaking out and screaming "no thank you" over and over.
i keep reading that jehovah's witnesses are in effect monsters.
i keep reading that they kinda leave chaos and distrust in their wake.
so i simply wondered if anyone had anything nice to say about them?.
Well, I think many of the members are probably pretty harmless. The religion, however, is a cult and causes a lot of damage. Those "nice" people do some really harmful things because their religion tells them to.
Of course, I think all religions are evil.JWs aren't even the most harmful or dangerous, just one of the less benign ones.
dear fellow janitors/ex-janitors:.
after some nearly 60 years scrubbing away (i started early), whistling a happy tune, i'm turning in my mop and mop bucket.
my body has said, "no more!
Are you going to retire or are you going to keep on doing the house-sitting and dog-sitting? I have to say I love being retired.
i am not a jw ...however i began having bible studies (i d call them watchtower studies).
i was beginning to get lured in and brainwashed into accepting the religion as the true religion...but something inside of me told me there was something odd.
some time passes and i was invited to a meeting and i accepted.
Read the stories of other people on this forum who dated/married JWs. It just isn't going to work, is it? For one thing, if he is such a spiritual JW, why is he interested in you at all? He should be running the other way. So, a little lack of integrity there. And, later, when he decides he'd rather be a JW than be with you, it will all be your fault. I grew up JW, and so I know what I'm talking about when I say that JWs are screwed up in a major way and you are just asking for heartache.
Unless you don't want a future with him and just want to fool around. In that case, go for it. Why not?

I think most of us are happier for being out of the wtbts. Making friends takes a while. You can't stay at home and be a hermit. Get out in the community, do interesting things, meet people. I started making new friends where I live when I got involved in the community garden, for instance.
