"Oh I'm having such a struggle, dear elder. Your wife has turned out to be the most egregious gossip, and I'm so discouraged now. I'm trying to forget and forgive, but, it isn't easy when someone I looked up to turned out to be so unkind. I hope you'll understand."

Hypocritical comments by JWs regarding the Catholic Church in light of the new Pope.
by Theocratic Sedition ini'm curious, what can you expect to hear from jws this week?
or have you heard anything already.
since awakening, i find it to be hilarious when jws badmouth catholics and the pope but are completely oblivious to how hypocritical they are considering the gb and other wt heavyweights..

I'm amazed that someone could escape the wtbts, and then bend over and kiss the pope's ass. Out of the frying pan into the fire.

Could the JWs sway you back...?
by new22day inop based on mr. freeze's topic - could attending the meetings/studying again sway any of you back to the org.
hearing the propaganda over and over again is pretty powerful i'm sure.
(i'm a non-jw, non-christian (no offense), stubborn as a bull and even i had moments of pause based on some of the doctrine (lasted 30 seconds) but i never had family/friends at stake or a background in this.

They'd have to capture me first and keep me tied up and gagged. I'd rather stab my eyes out than go to a meeting. Unless of course something really funny was going to happen like a bunch of protesters storming the KH and going up and down the aisles with signs and megaphones.

second law of thermodynamics
by Hortensia inso, i've been reading stuff online trying to understand how a heat pump works.
my apartment is heated and cooled with a heat pump.
how does the heat pump pull 70-degree heat out of the 40-degree cold outside air?

YOUR REFRIGIRATOR HEATS YOUR HOUSE, COOLES ITS CONTENT.
I see it! The stuff I read kept saying it's like a refrigerator, but you said how it's like a refrigerator. At the moment I think I have a grasp of it.

So, I've been reading stuff online trying to understand how a heat pump works. My apartment is heated and cooled with a heat pump. How does the heat pump pull 70-degree heat out of the 40-degree cold outside air? I'm not stupid, but nothing I've read makes any sense.

Do what you have to do, it's your life. But I hope you and your family become free one day. You're already mentally free.

"The long dark tea-time of the soul."
That is my favorite book title of all time. Better even than my other favorite: Dwarf Rapes Nun, Flees in UFO!
