right from the beginning, you are bombarded with others telling you what a "privilege" it is to "be used" in the organization.

especially if you're a male, it is easy to get hooked by the elder's lines.....for example, a male is given the "privilege" of "handling the microphones" if they put in enough time in the ministry and they aren't setting a bad example.

if you're "faithful in what is least", greater privileges await you.

Oh yes...the 10 hour requirement, so you can show off your "exemplary" status to the whole congregation. Woo hoo...stupid Pharisees.

ok so i have a bit of a dilemna, advise needed.

i was just on facebook, and somone sent me a pm saying they knew me from school.

so anyway i sent a reply saying how are you?

etc.. she then sent me another message to say how she was doing and then finished it with 'am i remembering correctly you're are in the truth?'.

Ask her how she is progressing in her study. Any questions? Doubts? Maybe you can gauge how far "in" she is, i.e., how much she's bought into the "truth" scam.

You can always tell her a few things that didn't make sense to you and how you got around it. Set up a fictional anecdote...you could say you heard from a friend (don't mention internet!!!) something about the UN/NGO thing and how it didn't make sense, but they showed you an actual letter in response from the UN. But you just have so much faith in the FDS and that they are imperfect humans and that you aren't serving men, blah blah blah...it doesn't matter if this really happened this way, but you can make it sound like you got around it...while still maintaining the appearance that you're a typical brainwashed dub. She'll see the discrepancy (sp) for herself, but you won't get in trouble, you know?

After reading this thread and remembering how I was duped into the "privelege" scam even while in the back of my mind I saw it for what it was, I just had the "privilege" of puking.

....and it's called college!.

that's right, the ultimate evil college is calling my name and i've fallen into the temptation.. my goal is to attend my old university starting in january.

i attended there about 5 years ago but dropped out to further my borg opportunities.

The last time I went to a meeting in my assigned hall, I was talking about my then new job and how it was such a relief to have a good, stable job again, even though it was night shift, and I'd miss the meetings. The witness I was talking to at the time (he was a fairly good friend) said "Good for you!" I didn't realize then what an answer like that actually meant. Now you got me thinking...maybe that "brother" is on the way out, too? I haven't seen him for a long time.

staying "in Truth" for family--is it worth it?...hyporcrite needing help

i have just been outed on this site due to my own stupidity, and lost my anonymity after just a short pleasant while here.

i have been turned in folks, compete with screen name/avatar, by family and i have a ton in.

it is easy to tell it is me, although i never use anyones names.

Tell 'em they are a bunch of paranoid, pharisaical stormtroopers trying to pick on an easy target to feed their overly developed sense of self-importance and power-hungry, ambitious, non-loving, gluttonous appetites. Tell 'em to leave you alone and play the I-am-suffering-from-depression and I'm-spiritually-weak cards. Deny and/or avoid the online/apostate website thing. Ask them which hypocrite was it who went on an obviously apostate website to hunt down this information in the first place...all the while not admitting any of their "evidence" pertains to you.
