JW kids with Bebo & other such accounts. Its scandelous!
by jambon1 infor those who dont know, bebo is a kind of free web site thing that you can use to put lots of info about yourself, friends & pictures etc.
i think its a bit like myspace or whatever its called.. anyway, i got asked to look at an individuals page and of course it had links etc to this persons friends.
all were jw`s.. if i were still a witness, the stuff that is put on these websites would have concerned me.

JW's just don't get it.
by TooBad TooSad inyesterday during the sunday public talk the speaker was talking about the terrible conditions in the world and.
how jehovah does not like to see the terrible suffering such as disease and starvation any more than we do.
and how these bad conditions make jehovah feel bad.

Because it takes more effort to use your mind than to recite rhetoric. Most people don't like to expend energy when going along with the group reinforces your social status.

Why Is There a Seemingly Large Percentage of X JW Jerks?
by XJW4EVR inthis is something i posted on minimus' "looked down" thread, and thought i would split it off into another topic.. so why is there a seemingly large number of x-jw jerks in cyberspace?.
longhairedgal wrote this:.
i know ex-dubs can be pretty bad.

I don't think that there is a higher percentage of JWs and X-JWs who are jerks....anyone who participates in a discussion about religion is going to come across people who are unreasonable.

ex-nj-jw:
How about the ones that were always messing up, then telling on themselves, get'n reproved or df'd then reinstated or taken off reproof, just to do it all again. These were usually elders's children (2nd, 3rd, 4th generation jdubs)
I know, right? I always wondered why "sinned" and then told on themselves and kept on with the same "sin"....In my mind, you tell on yourself if you feel bad about what you did, therefore you wouldn't do it again...If you wanted to keep "sinning" then why go to the elders? It doesn't make any sense....

Do you still believe in the Return of Christ? 66% says in 2007
by magdalenefan ini thank you for your support for my sadness over my divorce, and not taking in the faith of the witnesses no more.
i tried the search engine for some articles and it said it was being updated.. i am still believing in the word of god, i dont believe anymore in greedy people.
how many here believe that christ will still return?.

magdelenefan:
I think he can return the same way. Does history repeat?
History doesn't repeat itself.....similar things may happen in the future as did in the past but just because something happened before doesn't necessarily mean that it will happen again....that is assuming that the thing even happened in the first place.
I think Jesus already returned....he's named J.T. Leroy this time.....

Does the WTS create victims???
by Lumptard innow, i'm not talking about victims of child molesters, i'm talking about the seemingly common thought process among jws and x-jws that causes them to beleive that any turn of events that deviates from their idea of how things should happen is caused by something outside themselves.
is it just me, or do many jws and x-jws tend to put blame on other things/people other than where the blame should fall...themselves or at the very least, circumstances?
blaming satan for hardships, blaming worldly people for the trouble in the world, blaming the wts for various choices that people are "forced" to make).

Onacruse:
I'm a little confused by this:
I think that the WTS does not, characteristically, create victims.........Has the WTS created victims that weren't originally victims? I'd say, you betcha.
These statements contradict each other...which do you think it is?

Did you really want to have "Privileges"
by JH ini don't know about others here, but i couldn't care less about privileges.. i had a couple of privileges, but i really didn't want to get too deep in the org and get too many privileges.
i didn't want to get tied down with that, and have to leave 30 minutes later every meeting, or have to spend an extra hour or two preparing for something.. .
all that counted for me as a dub was "paradise" and "eternal life" .

I did....But that's because I grew up in the organization and I always thought that Mic handlers, parking attendants, and WT readers were cool...grew out of it pretty quick.

It just seems to me that this is a common thought process for JWs as well as X-JWs...What do you think? Am I being too critical? Are both JWs and X-JWs actually victims?
