  Isn't it amazing ... how many Christians chose to ignore the OT...?

  i read this funny article about the god of the old testament, and i thought how amazing it was that some christians seemingly chose to ignore this brutal god of war, yahweh, as though in the nt, he suddenly had a change of heart.

  the deity is clearly a maniac with a bloodthirst.

  that every guy just wants you for sex??.

  thats there no decent guys out there coz they 'only exist in the truth'.

  only ask coz thought i'd found the one, and (partly coz of my irractic behavior) we have finished) tho i dont think he was the one anyway i drove everywhere paid for most things, he lives at home etc..... so why do i feel so upset?

  Yes, it is true...boys only want sex. Makes no difference whether they are in the org. or not. Now Men.....that's a different story. Depends on how you meet them. Of course the guy who hits on you at the bar is only looking for sex, but if you meet through mutual friends who can attest to his character you can feel fairly confident that he's not just after the boo-tay.

  The main thing is to try whatever interests you...experiment, but on your own terms...then you will find what you are really about and chances are, once you know that, you will be able to find it easier. Don't let residual JW-type thinking impede on your enjoyment.

  so, since i had the day off from both of my jobs, after i took my dad out for dinner, i headed over to rochester, minnesota's famed silver lake to take some frozen pictures.

  Some of 'em are nice....I'd keep my finger off the zoom button if I were you though. The color is highly saturated...I like it...Did you color correct them or are these raw?

  I've never understood why Christians appropriated the jewish bible and married it to the christian bible. The tones don't match, and it is possible that they are not speaking about the same god. He's a prick to the Jews and he's all nicey-nice and forgiving after Jesus comes around...what's up with that?

  Going to write to my mom

  i want to write to my mom to tell her of some of the things that led me to fade.

  i think if it's written in a kind and loving way she will read it and i may plant a few seeds of doubt in her mind.

  i don't want to bombard her with too much info, but give her enough food for thought.

  I would avoid hot-button topics and ask many questions, but make no statements regarding JW teachings/philosophy. This way you may be able to open a dialogue about subjects that would trigger her to close her mind if they were handled in a "This is wrong and this is why" type of way.

  How do I find out the history of my house?

  i was wondering if anyone has ever done this, and knows how to go about getting the info.. i want to know how old it is, all the previous tennents, if any of them are dead, and or died in this house.

  all that good stuff.. it would be nice if i could find it out on the net.......instead of running all over the place.

  I've never done it myself but the previous tennants are probably listed in public records and you could search the local newspaper archives for the deaths of those people. Is it an old house?
