My business idea....along lines of"strip" clubs...What do ya think??
by megsmomma ini think this would really take off......instead of hiring "strippers" for a party....get "dressers"!!
get wemon with less than perfect bodies...but big personalities (it would be a must to be able to do this) go to a party with very little clothing and get paid to "put it on!!!
" the whole idea would be for a laugh and fun....no alterior motives.

Apologies From The Watchtower Society
by The wanderer in<!-- .style1 { font-size: 20px; font-family: arial; color: #0066cc; } .style2 { font-family: arial; font-size: 18px; color: #0066cc; } .style3 { font-family: verdana, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; } --> apologies from the watchtower societywhat if the watchtower bible and tract society owned up to its mistakes .
how would you react to it?
naturally, this is all speculation because the .

If it was standard practice for them to acknowlege their mistakes and apologise for them, then they would have a measure of my respect. At this point, after all of the previous evasive maneuvers and sidestepping from responsibility, no ammount of apology would regain my respect.

my first pledge of allegiance
by BlackSwan of Memphis intoday was parent day at jun's preschool.. and they do the pledge of allegiance.. it was funny because i was stumbling through it trying to remember it.. in all honesty, it wasn't a moment where i thought oh yay!
it was more like, eh, whatever, it's a flag.. .
it was interesting.. .

I still can't say the pledge....not for any religious reason, though...just because I don't support the policies of the current administration.

eh...it could happen, but it'd prolly be like seeing an elder at an adult bookstore...it's like, "yeah you caught me, but what are YOU doing here?"

How polite are you?
by JH inoften i'm following someone into a building and entering the same door, and most of the times, the person in front won't even try to keep the door open so that it wont close in my face.
knowing that someone is right behind me, i'll even wait a second or two and hold the door open for that person.
i guess it has to do with being well educated.

The original sin
by onacruse inthis is a question i've had for a long time.. according to the biblical account, adam and eve's sin was to eat fruit from the forbidden tree.. now, ordinarily, when we get caught doing something "wrong," we try to hide the "offending" member (the child tries to hide his hand that has the 'stolen' cookie; we hurriedly try to pull our pants back on when mom walks in unexpectedly while we're masturbating, etc.)..
so, if the "sin" of adam and eve was eating a forbidden fruit, then why wasn't their first impulse to hide their hands?
or to wipe off their mouths?

Our creator is the God of truth. If we can't believe the Bible, what else is there that we can go on? My belief in God's Word allows me to keep my bearings and make a more sensible life for myself. The more I believe it's true, the better my life gets. To me, it's about sanity.
Our creator is the God of truth.
Again, only if you presuppose that the bible is accurate in its description of "God"
If we can't believe the Bible, what else is there that we can go on?
Hmmm....How 'bout science, confirmed history and logic?
My belief in God's Word allows me to keep my bearings and make a more sensible life for myself. The more I believe it's true, the better my life gets.
Good for you....doesn't prove that the bible is true, though...all it proves is that you prefer living according to the bible. If a person prefers to get it on with men, shoot heroin, and rob people, then living by the bible wouldn't make their life "better." "Better" is a term that is relative to personal preference.

Question for faders (past and present)
by IsaacJS2 ini was just wondering why people fade instead of just quitting right away.
going inactive isn't enough to get dfed, is it?
i was never dfed, though my meeting attendance had been on again off again for months before hand.

Fading keeps lines of communication open in your family....I recon that is the main reason....to avoid shunning by your family.

Who is really considered a Jew?
by Justahuman24 ini've been told by a lot of jewish people - and have read on-line too - that a jewish person is considered jewish only if his/her mother was jewish; that once "jewishness" is passed on through the mother.
now if that is true, then how come the jews consider solomon, moses' sons, david and others mentioned in the bible - and who were important characters too - to be jewish?
ruth wasn't jewish and she was david's grandmother.

Forgive my ignorance, but what was Ruth, if not jewish?
