I never loved either of them.
But now i have a kind of respect for what Jesus did for us but that is about it.

whenever i hear the word jehovah i still feel warm and fuzzy.
he was the god that i spent hours talking to in prayer, petitioning, thanking, pleading with.
he was my father, the creator, the one who we would worship for eternity.. jesus on the other hand i never spoke or prayed to.
I never loved either of them.
But now i have a kind of respect for what Jesus did for us but that is about it.

this is one of the sadest days in my life, my beloved husband marco passed away this morning at 5:15 am.. it has been a dreadful day.
but my dear friend was with most of the day while we went togerther to make funeral arrangements.. that was really hard on me.
i have done nothing but cry and cry all day, i finally fell asleep a few hours ago while my friend diane was here and she let me sleep.
((((((((OFC))))))))))
I am sorry for your loss
Regards

there has been a few posts regarding happy marriages and the 2 witness rule which reminded me of an experience you might find funny.
i'd like to know if anyone else has done anything like this.... there was a married couple with 3 kids in our cong.
he was an ms but a nasty piece of work.
HAHAHAHAHAHA,
Good on ya.
Remind me not to hire you as an investigator...lol
Could you keep a straight face when chatting to him at maccas?
I hope you left heaps later when he left not to cause any suspicion of the blue van.
I am glad this woman was able to get away from him and start a new life.

i never was baptize as a jw.
i use to study with them for years, i even went as for as becoming a unbaptize publisher.
i gave up being a publisher because i did not feel genuine in my efforts to preach.
I have no spiritual needs.
But i do believe it should be a personal thing between you and whoever you truley believe in either god, jesus, budda, whoever.
Belonging to a religious group should not determine how spiritual you are.

in the 1950's i remember they used to say what they were disfellowshipped for, whether it be fornication, stealing, etc.
then it was disfellowshipped for "loose conduct", then "conduct not becoming a christian.
" then it was simply "disfellowshipped" or "disassociated.
I don't ever remember the announcements.
But i do recall that there would be a few talks about certain subject and you would then clue the peices together.
Helen
*wonder how her DF announcemence was worded*
just got a call from my jw mom, she wanted to let me know that my dad was taken to the hospital friday!!
!, he had another heart attack.
he is on a ventilator and needs bypass surgery (again) but the doctors can't operate since his hemoglobin is low and he has been on coumadin (blood thinner).
You need to get on a flight and see your dad.
If you don't and something more serious happens you will regret it.
Go be by his side and stuff the JW
Family is the most important thing.

long before i began my fade, there was a certain "sister" in the congo who married a non-jw man.
she was very happily married despite of all the forecasts of "doom and gloom" among the "friends".
how sad it was to hear her make the following comment in conversation - "sometimes i feel badly about marrying an unbeliever, since other sisters may look at me and follow my example.
Happy marriages these days are few and far between.
Why can't you have a happy marriage if you marry out the JWS.
I married a non believer best thing i did help the leaving so much easier.
My parents marriage was on the rocks for so many years till my mum finally left my dad.

the following figures are from the australian census 2006 as found at http://www.abs.gov.au/websitedbs/d3310114.nsf/home/census (30th june 2007).
very interesting to see that the number of people admitting to being jehovah's witnesses has fallen over the last 10 years by 3%, whilst baptists have grown by 7% and mormons by 18%.
looks like jws are not the only ones preaching afterall.. .
How do the JW figures in the Census compare with the figures provided by the WTS?
Thats a good question doug!
*puts hand in air*
My family and i are of the many athiest on the 2006 census
