  Mr. Flippers Son Anti-Witnesses to his Fanatic Witness Mother

  so, my 22 year old son called me this morning and said his witness mom, my ex, sent him this website link- http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,313683,00.html .

  it is an artcicle about a 14 year old witness boy with leukemia who died because of refusing a blood transfusion.

  doctors said he would have had a 70 % chance of surviving to live a normal life if he had accepted blood.

  Accidentally Hit Animals with Cars ? A Problem in Rural areas-Experiences?

  so, hello folks.

  i have wanted to start this thread for sometime because i was curious if it has happened to any of you often.

  in the last 10 years or so it seemed that deer were attracted to my trucks like magnets .

  Over the years of driving i have hit a few animals.

  its horrible especially if it could be a family pet.

  I now live in a VERY rural area.

  When i go to and from work there is so much wildlife around.

  I have nearly hit a few Kangaroos, tortise, wallabies, rabbitss and native birds.

  All along the side of the roads there are many dead kangaroos and many birds and rabbits on the road.

  Its horrible.

  i just recived an e-mail from an active jw friend of mine, he was replying to the utube e-mail i sent him on the molestation cover ups.

  he knows the jw are shite, but he's conflicted becasue all his family is still in.

  it made me sad, he's young and knows its shite but doen't know what to do.

  Only just found this thread and i haven't been on here for ages.

  Some ideas.

  I tell my friends that i am really hard to buy for.

  But as i am more likely to get someone from over seas i would love things from the area that you live like touristy things.

  Even pictures you have taken from around the area.

  Trinkets that you or a local craftperson has made.

  Or even handmade ornament.

  Just some ideas

  Tell Me About Your Jehovah's Witness Mother...If You had One!

  so since no one picked up the ball, after my thread on "your jw father".....here we go.... my mother (bless her heart) was born in kansas in 1926....her mother died in 1934, when my mother was 8 years old.

  she died trying to give yourself an abortion with a coat hanger.

  it was the "great depression".....she was 34 years old 4 kids and a 5th on the way...my grandfather would blow through town just long enough to "knock her up" and leave....no money....no hope.

  My mum....

  Her mother found the JW's when my mum was young guessing 2/3 years old.

  She has 2 older sisters one who had left home by then and the other was 10 years older than her she was the rebellious one. My mum was a very shy person.

  My mum move to Australia when she was just 19 she basically came here for a holiday with her parents and never went back. She told me that she was engaged to a worldly guy they had slept together and he left her for someone else she was heart broken.

  Within months of being her she met and married my dad within 6 months.

  I think she ws happy for the first 5 years but i think th toll of my dad and having such a young family, a sick father a demanding mother it all became to much she started having nervous breakdowns.

  So from when i was from the age of about 7 till 14 she was in and out of hospital.

  When i was in my mid teens she actually stood up for me and let me go out with my cousin and she gave me freedon. I don't think i ever confided in her and even now our relationship i think is a little strained.

  I do make the efffort to have contact with her at least a few times a week but it is rare for her to ring or come over.

  Over the last year she has been diagnosed with Bi polar but im not sure this is the right label for her as she has battled with Major depression for a long time.

  She never has attened many meetings over the many years but then has had the strive to be full on in the jw's.

  Now she has not been to a meeting consistantly for MANY years but recently has started going back to the meetings and even attended the convention earlier this year.

  She has said if they told her that she is not to have any contact with me she would tell them where to go.

  I guess in a way im all she has got.

  Fading From the Witnesses- How Hard Did Your Family Try to Bring You Back?

  i have been a fader now for 4 years , and at this point my witness family pretty much leaves me alone in that they don't try to push their beliefs on me anymore !

  at first they did, the first 6 months or so.

  my daughters showed me a video of korah talking against aaron, etc.

  I guess i never really faded just i upped and moved out of home.

  No one asked what meetings i was going to i was just left alone.

  There have been the hints over the years.

  The odd mags left around when visiting my parents but other than that there has been nothing.
