my happy bubble is deflating.
i'm looking at the richmond and toronto apostafest pics and i'm longing for company.. it's been a really long time since i enjoyed good company and warm friendship.
even before we became inactive our friendships with witnesses had waned.. i really am very social.
Chalenging i know how you feel.
Moving to a new area away from all close friend and trying to make new ones in such a close nit community is so hard.
There is nothing better than getting with other people and enjoying their company and swapping stories having a few drinks a meal or even just nibblies.

i know i am, or at least now i'm finally willing to admit it.
when making future plans, i still have "jehovah's day" in the back of my mind.
i never caught myself doing that until fairly recently, and i just realized that it was holding me back in many ways.
For me it was many years after i think up untill about 3/4 years ago.
It was mainly the thinking that the end was coming with any major storm that we had i always thought that i had done something bad and i was being punished... silly hey!!!
Also any other major event that was happening in the world like major earthquakes or any civil wars that would happen.
I think once you have been out for many years and you have gotten a different midset and that you can know that in your heart that you are a good person and that you deserve to live thats how you go on.
Now i don't know if this 'Armageddon' will ever happen in my lifetime or in my childrens life time or ever at all.
Look how long man has been on this earth. I guess im taking the way of if it happens it happens.

This is a great book!!!!!
I used to have it but gave to my brother for a wedding present and now wished i had it again for my parents and i even tried to explain it to my dad too... but thats another story.
Its so true on how you need your love tank full so that you are happy and satisfied.
We all have different ways it can get kept full and if you both know what keep them full you have a great relationship.
For me its when things get done like the the house is kept clean but i also like quality time too.
I can highly recommend if anyone is having marriage troubles to read it together.
Though it is also bible based too.

well it arrived today... 50.poundi sent him$ 50----he only got 23.80 i think if i remember rightly.. i received back in the exchange $56.37 so i was better off.. he did write a letter with it.

hello folks.
thought this would be an important subject to discuss, got the idea for this based on reading from some posters the concern they have for the imbalanced views witnesses have of their marriages.
i have some experience in this, as i was married 19 years to a witness woman (staunch fanatical witness ) , whom i married at age 19 in 1979 as a witness myself.
When i went to my dads wedding earlier this year i just couldn't believe how much they emphasis that Jah must be within the marriage. This a jw wedding have been to as an adult.
It takes more than god to be in a marriage it had to do with the two people who make this commitment first they have to work together and be on the same level and have respect for each other and care for each others 'needs'.
On the outside looking in on my parents marriage the problem was that my dad was taking care more of his spiritual need than what it was of his families, yes he was a good provider but no not as a good husband who could not support his wife when she needed his help.
I totally agree that there are to many who get married young, you need to get out and enjoy life DATE other people not just for a prospective marriage mate.
Then i think of all the arranged marriages that hapen in western cultures how do they manage to work for so many years.
I'm glad Mr flipper you have had a second chance of happiness.
