Lost In Translation
by Nosferatu insomeone created this utility, and it's fun to play with.
it'll run a chunk of text through babelfish a bunch of times, and you'll come out with something completely screwed up.

Patience...
Sometimes it's fast, sometimes it's slow. Sometimes it doesn't work at all.
Original English Text:
to be or not to be that is the question
Oops. The babel fish is being particularly unreliable right now. Perhaps try again after a cup of coffee?
THATS WHAT I GOT!LOL -

since my father was not a jw and he worked constantly away from home for periods between 3 to 6 months, we had most of our time with our mother, who is quite fanatical( We were publishers already at the age of 6)
when ever he was home they would spend their time argueing, when he was away she would latch on to my sister and me telling us about their problems and when he came home she would latch on to him and complain about us, she always tried to get him to go the meetings.
Between the ages of 6 and 13, my father was diagnosed with rheumathoid arthiritis, in that period he studied with brother for a while, even attended the meetings and then eventually just stopped and never went again.
there were always differences on how to raise us, those arguements ended as my father eventually understood that he was never going to convince her otherwise. -

Floyd Kite's "Enduring the Tests Within God's Organization" (1980)
by Leolaia inthats a big test.
can you think of the test that that would put on gods people?
its a big test, its a big test.

(The number one test is this -- and if you can use this in helping someone else or teaching someone else, great. The number one test is this: will I be loyal to the organization God is using in spite of the people that are in it? That’s a big test. It’s been a big test in nineteen hundred years in the Christian congregation and a tremendously large test in modern times in God’s organization. How will I respond to the people inside of God’s organization? Will I be loyal to it? And you do have to admit that now you’re associated with the congregation there are many strange people in the congregation, and you’ve noticed that, right? And sometimes you begin wonder how did they get in? How do they stay in?! And yet we stand shoulder to shoulder like the loving encouragement we received through the book of Philippians this past week. Paul said, “Standing with one spirit shoulder to shoulder for the sake of the good news.” And yet if you look too closely at people, you can become very disappointed in your congregation. Even if you move to some other congregation, you’ll find the same thing. And you will actually begin to wonder, “Can these people really be God’s people?”)
nothing but brotherly love, isn't it wonderful! now all you have to do is turn on each other and become paranoid! -

must we practice what we believe?
by tetrapod.sapien infor example, i often hear atheists say that while they have a "lack of belief" in any gods (negative position), they are going to make the positive step in their lives and live them like there were no gods.
which is to say that they make their own morals and choices without fear of some god.
but what if an atheist decided one day that so and so religion, that worships so and so god, makes him feel good emotionally, and gives his ever vigilant left hemisphere a break on sundays.

at school, when i was about 10 years old we would have these desks with a little compartment at the bottom. One day i happened to open one of them and someone had left a lunch box inside,(probably that person did not like what he had for lunch that day)as always with my luck i opened the lunch box to find old green sandwhiches inside, unfortunatley for me, i was sitting next to my arch enemy who happend to tell the class that the lunch box belonged to me, so i was nicknamed MOULDY and it followed me until grade 8, nice huh!

Your Stress Sources
Delights in the tasteful, the gracious, and the sensitive, but
maintains her attitude of critical appraisal and refuses to be swept off her
feet unless genuineness and integrity can be absolutely vouched for.
Therefore keeps a strict and watchful control on her emotional
relationships as she must know exactly where she stands. Demands complete sincerity
as a protection against her own tendency to be too trusting.
Your Restrained Characteristics
Clings to her belief that her hopes and ideas are realistic, but needs
encouragement and reassurance. Applies very exacting standards to her
choice of a partner and wants guarantees against loss or
disappointment.
Circumstances force her to compromise and to forgo some pleasures
for the time being. Capable of achieving physical satisfaction from
sexual activity.

Your Desired Objective
Seeks affectionate, satisfying and harmonious relationships. Desires an
intimate union, in which there is a love, self-sacrifice and mutual
trust.
Your Actual Problem
Needs to protect herself against her tendency to be too trusting, as
she finds it is liable to be misunderstood or exploited by others. Is
therefore seeking a relationship providing peaceful and understanding
intimacy, and in which each knows exactly where the other stands.
