Here's an interesting video for you. It's two hours long but I think it's worth it. It may seem a little weird to start with but just keep on watching.

Were you allowed to use the bathroom during meetings?
by ericr ini have read many post on here about abuse that goes on in the kingdom hall.
one abuse i use to see involved the denial of the bathroom to children during meetings.. .
in the kingdom hall i attended like most expected children to sit still for two hours during the meetings.

A girl i knew once wet herself during the closing prayer of a circuit assembly, probably because it went on forever. She was stood in front of me and you could hear the fluid hitting the floor because of the relative silence. She was about 14-15. We used to call her 'fivehead' because she had a large forehead. But not to her face.

So. If they wish to argue that only a fool could possibly believe that a cell could spontaneously spring into existence, how do you go about explaining the existence of a god? Did he spontaneously spring into existence or did he evolve? 'Right thinking ones' couldn't possibly say that god came to being in a 'big bang' manner, because that concept has been so heavily poopooed over the years. Nor could he have evolved in any way, because the wtbts' flawless logic has proved, without a shadow of a doubt, that things cannot change over a period of millions or billions of years. That would be just stupid.
So I'm tempted to go to the study for this watchtower and put my hand up. "Yes brothers", I would say, "As only an idiot would believe these haughty god denying scientist who say that things can just spring into existence(which they don't), the only logical conclusion therefore brothers is that god must have had a designer, as he is infinitely more complex than a single celled organism, what with creating billions of universes and all that. Ultimately, using the logical thinking which the society have displayed in this watchtower, I can categorically state therefore that god cannot be 'The Alpha and Omega' as he says he is, and is therefore a liar."

If I handed in a paper like that ... I'd fail!
by Frequent_Fader_Miles insomething always bugged me about the society's publications.
they'd always use phrases like "many persons do this" or "one expert says", or "many believe".
the person being referred to or quoted is always veiled in obscurity.

Yep, just reading the 'What does design in nature reveal' Watchtower article, what a blinder.

"Read the bible daily"
by veen incorrect me if i'm wrong, but i used to think that on one of the brooklyn bethel buildings there used to be a big sign saying, "read god's word the bible daily", or something along those lines.
well i went there recently and i saw a big sign saying, "read the watchtower and awake!
" not necessarily daily though, that was not specified.

Yep, my mistake it seems. I think there may have been something obscuring it at the time. Either that or I just couldn't see it because it was tucked out of the way down the bottom there, unlike the 'watchtower and awake' sign which is at the top for everyone to see.

Crazy-Ass Apostates
by GetBusyLiving inwhats the most outrageous thing you have ever heard of an apostate doing to get back at the witnesses?
a while back on here i heard of some guy that was hugely pissed about the 1975 fiasco.
he dressed up in one of those ancient drama outfits and stormed the stage at a convention screaming, " i'm the faithful and discreet slave!!!!".

I went to Brooklyn Bethel last year and had my photo taken in the lobby giving the 'horns' sign. Went in the museum bit. No mention of pyramids.

So I was working with this dude, a carpenter. He mentions that the DC is coming up next weekend and asks if I'm going to attend. I tell him no, because I don't believe any of it and he's totally shocked. He must have been of the opinion that I was one of those people who stopped going to meetings etc because I wanted to be a fornicating hedonist prepared for death at Armageddon, not because I had issues with the illogical nature of it all. Yada yada yada, he ends up saying the same old line I always seem to hear 'It's a good way to bring up your kids if nothing else'. To which I reply, 'Not if your kid dies from not having blood'. This is where it gets interesting. He goes on to tell me about how his son was in Great Ormond Street hospital to have an operation to sort out his downstairs mix up, he had a mangina kind of like Old Greg . The anesthetist said that he was going to give his son blood whether he liked it or not, which didn't go down too well with woodworking chum. After a low level ruck involving hospital staff, he forcibly removed his son from the hospital, thus condemning his son to a life without worthwhile sexual organs. Of course the benefit of that being his son was then unable to please the demons, or himself by masturbating. I just kept my mouth shut. Didn't mention Baal worship or anything. Veen

Child sacrifice
by veen inso everyone always goes on about how terrible baal worshipers were, sacrificing their children to him etc.
do not parents therefore, of children who die from not accepting blood, carry out a very similar act.
essentially, they allow their children to die just to please their god, and would be praised for standing firm right to the end, as they stood by and watched their child slowly slip away, knowing that they could save their life at any time.

"Remember that JWs don't see it as a sacrifice because they believe in the resurrection". If this is the case then they shouldn't be so down on the old baal worship scenario, because those babies will be resurected also.
