  It is interesting how if someone makes an accusation of extramarital sex taking place they are believed, so long as they have someone to back them up. I know of situations where people have been followed, and the follower, usually a jilted ex, has taken someone along in order to corroborate their story, like a pair of detectives.

  But if a child calls someone out for abusing them, the default position has been to assume the child is a liar.

  Why kids would go around making stories up about sexual encounters with adults so frequently is beyond me. Being brought up as a witness, I think a child would feel they had to tell of the sexual encounter for fear they would die at Armageddon, because they would be blood guilty for not confessing the sin.

  whose going to run the hospitals power plants waterworks you know general infrastructure in every country there are jws after armageddon or is jehovah simply going to get the angels to do the grunt work?

  Those who will survive will presumably revert to 'not knowing good from bad' like Adam and Eve yeah? So everyone will just become simpletons. I would rather die than lose that ability. I don't see the appeal of being a moronic zombie who has to worship a genocidal maniac.

  Jaguar Bass you are wrong. The very fact that you mention carbon dating proves that you know absolutely nothing about it.

  Considering carbon dating can only be used to date items up to a maximum 60,000 years old, how do you suggest the team of scientists working on this find came up with the 4.4 million year date?

  regarding being in the house with someone of opposite sex...thats a conscience thing too, the individual decides yet many claim that if they were seen in the house with someone of opposite sex they could stumble people..i think its them who have the problem, how can someone think the worse and make an accusation!?!?!

  they are the ones with the problem and should be counselled, not the ones together.

  its up to the individuals, we shouldnt have to take on other people consciences and be worried what others say...jehovah sees all things and at the end of the day we stand before jah's throne on judgment day not sister or brother so and so.

  Since I've been out of the cult I've spent a lot of time alone with girls with whom I've not had sex.

  When you are in the cult, and aware of this 'rule', you find yourself alone with a girl and you both know it's time for some action, it makes it much easier to get it on because there is no ambiguity.

  I pray to the Spaghetti Monster God. On average I would say my prayers are about as useful as the ones said to your gods, averaging out the same sort of results. Don't judge me, I'm needy and feel this is the only way I can train my rational mind to avoid the pitfalls of intelligent, well informed thinking.

  Because it is very good. Did it give you the horn when you actually read it? As I think it's a very sad and tragic story, which in my opinion is actually quite anti-pedo.

  Diabolical. Notice how the old geezer doesn't actually say, 'Don't go to university, get a good job or pursue your running'. But it's subtly implied through his smug wisdom.

  Although there can be no doubt, it is probably quite appealing to some people, the thought of being clapped at in a circuit assembly for wasting your life.

  i'm thinking of going to one this summer to research an article i want to write.

  back in my time anybody could just walk in, but some recent threads sound like that might be hard to do.

  i'm also going to try to get a local paper to give me one time press credentials.

  about two weeks ago i was having lunch at an establishment that has tables set up on the outside (actually a sidewalk) and as i was waiting for my order, i overheard two guys talking at the next table.

  a homely guy who had a pretty girl on his arm brought this response.

  Yes it is.

  The only problem is, because everyone tends to just marry the first person they ever hold hands with you need to be super pro-active. Grooming is essential, as all the best girls are snaffeled up before they're out of their teens.
