Days that Go From Bad to Downright Embarassing
by Crumpet inso far this monday has been one nightmare after another.. it began with discovering that overnight my computer has wiped my harddrive - everything gone - photos, msn conversations, university assignments, diaries, letters, work docs, movies, videos, unmentionables.
i feel like i have been erased!
why - i have no idea?.

My fly was undone, like all the way. SO EMBARRESSING!!!
When I was a kid my mom often bought me cheap pants, and often the zipper would split open. To this day I triple check my zipper before leaving the house, while waiting for the bus, in stores, and walking down the hallways at work. I'm sure people think I'm a pervert, but I'm only paranoid about my zipper being open.
That's the annonying thing, I usually do check my fly all the time when I'm out, as I am paranoid about it happening to me but this time i just didn't. But i've learnt my lessen, i'll be on fly watch from now on.

So I was out doing my food shopping yeasterday, wearing jeans and a tracksuit jacket, it was a rainy day. So I go get my food from the supermarket, then I think I'll treat myself to a nice coffee. So I go to the posh area where the nice coffee shops are. I'm thinking I look good, I fit in, I'm cool. So I get my coffee, then I go home and .............
look in the mirror. My fly was undone, like all the way. SO EMBARRESSING!!!
I did think people were giving me stranger then usual looks, but then they always do, lol. Oh well what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

Sister-in-law attempts suicide
by golf2 inmy sister-in-law tried to take her life this afternoon.
it still remains to be seen if she makes it through or not.
though a witness, she's had many bad experiences in life.

by 38 Years ini have been reading this board for about 4 years.
after 38 years of being a baptized jehovah's witness, i did some research on the internet and found enough evidence to quit.
that was 4 years ago and i am so much happier now.

Ups (finishing grad school) and downs (doc visits) ...I'm scared... :(
by asleif_dufansdottir inlast week i finished up grad school (master's degree).
i'm currently gainfully unemployed and my student health insurance runs out the first of august.. i've been to the doc so many times the last couple of weeks (sigh).
the first batch was relatively minor...i had a big splinter in my hand that the docs didn't find right away...3 visits, 2 courses of antibiotics and 2 in-office minor surgeries later, they *finally* got it out.

JWD support and comfort for those in need
by restrangled ini don't know how you feel but i am pleased to be part of a community that cares about fellow members.
although we may not know individuals in person, we get a "sense" of many of our fellow posters especially if we have been here for any length of time.. several of our fellow posters have experienced terrible tragedies that result in financial nightmares.
i don't know how all of you feel, but i would rather give directly to someone in need than through a charity.

I think that's a fantastic idea, Restrangled. I've been thinking the same thing recently, when I read about fellow posters that are in need and I have wanted to be able to help, even if it's a really small contribution.
