I asked the sister sitting next to me what she thought of the Question Box.
Her response was "Who would be so dumb to do an independant study group?"
Crazily enough, that was not the response I was looking for.
So I guess this one is going to blow over like nothing ever happened.
Looks like we can chalk one up for the Kool-Aid Brigade. -

Watchtower crackdowns 2007 recap
by drew sagan inso i've been thinking about many of the different things the wts has put into effect this year in keep their strong hold on the flock: .
- a new edition of the watchtower for jws only that uses all of their insider terminology.
- individuals who are disfelloshipped, dissassociated, or have ceased association with the congregation should not receive the current literature.

Watchtower study is an hour as Gopher outlined.
Sunday used to last 2 hours total:
15 min -> 3 songs + 2 prayers
45 min -> public talk
60 min -> watchtower study
soon it will be down to 1 hour 45 min! I can hardly wait.
Hopefully I will be out of the Borg by then. -

Kool-Aid Campaign anyone???
by SnakesInTheTower inso i was thinking with the new kool-aid edition of the craptower and the (now proven and confirmed) september 07 km basically telling us to only look at society literature, and the light getting brighter and brighter the noose getting tighter and tighter.. .
why not start a campaign to let the society we have noticed.
i would love to hear your thoughts and this wont cost any of us much money or time.. buy 2 packages of kool-aid (make sure it is that brand)...and preferably grape.

I like how the KM's instructions say to "as time permits, read and discuss cited scriptures".
With a topic like this, I almost doubt he will have time to look up the scriptures. -

So, this isn't a new subject???
How did I miss this? I had always been told to do a lot of research and prove what I knew.
I would go to encyclopedias and other references because I liked it when I could point to something other than the society.
We also would use the encyclopedias during family study - I guess that was a no-no. -

by alamb ini can't find the scripture about taking care of those of your own household or you are worse than a person without faith.. .

It will be probably a couple weeks before the average JW gets their copy.
I stole mine straight out of the box before the PO could get them.
He usually waits a week or so before giving them to the bookstudy overseers.
the point I am trying to make is: your family may not have the KM yet
Pawing through their bags may make them a little suspicious to you dropping the bomb.
Perhaps bringing up the subject and getting their opinion before hand may prove more useful.
